	Nominations to Replace Conmcb25 as UN Rep Support Apolyton, buy Civilization 2

As Conmcb25 has now left the Civgroup (and posted over at the UN about his move to PAL) and the UN is now starting the process to "tweek" the rules for the next game, we need someone to take up the reigns and Repesent Apolyton in this next round of gameplay.

To that end, I Nominate Hot_Enamel to fill that position. He has been an avid poster over in the UN forum for some time now and he is familiar with most of the issues that have been present thoughout this last game.

The posts I have read in the UN from H_E have displayed a more than adequate knowledge of legal matters. We definitely want someone over there that knows their stuff.

Very Funny Thread.

I am not quite ready to leave the wife & kids, but if I ever do turn, E_T will definitely be hearing from me.




All I did, was take a week off from playing Neverwinter Nights & go on a posting spree.
Plus, MZ nuking GS sparked a small bit of interest in the forums again.


I am probably not the best person for the UN job.
Someone like ormuzd would be great until the game is set up, then he can hand it over and take a consul position.

But I am online irregularly, and year end/tax season is almost upon me in Australia, so the timing really sucks.

Since it'll take a while, and because the debates may eventually get heated (again), we may be better off creating a team of 3 or 4 UN Reps during the period between the two rounds to act as team leaders, and to revert to the Consulate structure with one UN Team Rep when the game actually begins.

Well, HE has been posting at the UN on our behalf. Perhaps if we leave well enough alone he will just continue to do so.

The UN has asked for our Team Information, which includes the Team Leader. We need to decide on one now, although it appears no one is willing to step up. As I said previously, I'll do it if no one else wants to.

I may be a bit too new and controversial to be considered for the role. But I would certainly have no problem defending Apolyton's best interests at the UN.

I do think that this role should go to one of the Apolyton vets, however.

I also think this job should be a mostly permanent one and this person should be precluded from being a Consul as well.

No offense Nuc, but I'd like to see more nominations of people who have more experience in both diplomatic roles and with Demo game rules AND someone who would not like to be a Consul.

We need someone whom the whole team feels comfortable with them representing Apolyton on their behalf.

Hehe, I suppose I deserve that one.........

It would be our team, of course. I just needed to make my big splash in an unorthodox way. I can assure you that, if chosen, I would not resort to such John Bolton-esque tactics at the UN. I also do not think I will be able to act as Consul in this game due to either time constraints or electability , so BigFree's concerns shouldn't be a factor.

That's the extent of my lobbying. I do not covet the position by any means, but am willing to step in if needed.

Hell, I wouldn't mind being UN Rep, problem is, I don't really want to be a visible member of this team on the outside.

I just had a lengthy coversation with Trip on MSN, I obviously told him I was just lurking here, and he kept pressing me to be active so that all the "good players would face off".

In short, he is DYING to defeat Apolyton and not only that, we wants to do so knowing that all our elite players are actively participating so that his victory is all the more enjoyable.

I ain't planning on giving him such luxuries.

So yeah, I'd like the post, but no, I think it's better for the team if it wasn't me.

Oh, I agree BF. I didn't really want to be the Ambassador, but if no one volunteered, someone would need to do the job.
