Reasons iTunes sucks Support Apolyton buy from Amazon

1. You can't drag the Song Title column to a more sensible place. It's always the first column, whether you like it or not. And I don't.

It should be:
Artist - Year Album - Track# Title

That's the way I have Winamp set up, that's the way my filenames are, and that's the way the Goddess Amaterasu intended it. Steve Jobs should burn at the stake for this.

2. $0.99 is too damn expensive. I just bought 20 tracks. Ouch.

On the plus side, the interface is a bit better than allofmp3.com's. And I am supporting the American Mafia instead of the Russian one.

(Oh, I will de-DRM with jHymn and transfer to WinAmp in a few minutes. I am just griping.)

Are there no illegal "lite" version available? That possibly work on my ancient computer? I just want to check out what's available and if I can download stuff that I can't get hold of otherwise.

I use mplayer ( the command-line version ) on Windows XP , and the same on Linux , whenever I want to just play a song . I've found it is much more convenient to use AmaroK if you want the sort of functionality that iTunes , Winamp , or other such media players give you . ( AmaroK on KDE on Cygwin on Windows XP is what I'd recommend , if you **** to use it with Windows , or AmaroK with KDE for Linux ) .

I had to install it (I think) to activate my IPod Shuffle. Thankfully , someone wrote a program that allows use of Shuffle without Macintosh software
