Let it be known throughout the lands....
The Horde has begun its first National Wonder Program - Statue of Stone.
The Horde is under Red Guard operational security
Their is to be NO, I repeat NO talk of this project anywhere out side of The Horde Private Forum, and such comms between Horde members.
Let the building and shield storing begin.
For the purpose of building Statue of Zeus we change the way we measure time. We consider turn 1990 BC as Turn 1 of our wonder building.
Turn 2: KBH has 9 shields. Change production in KBH to granary. Change production in FA to worker. Change production in Bokhara to worker. Change production in Bloodview to settler. Bob and Harry move 2-3. George moves 4. Citizens of KBH rearranged so KBH produces 10 shields per turn with one food surplus.
Turn 3: KBH has 19 shields. Worker built in FA (named FA worker). FA worker moves 8-8-8. Bob and Harry move 6-6. George moves 4-1-4. Two slave workers start road on grass 3 from KBH.
Turn 4: KBH has 29 shields. Change production in Bokhara to spearman. FA worker builds road. Road is completed instantly. Both slave workers and FA worker cannot move. Bob and Harry move 6 and start mine. George moves 8 and starts mine. Mildred moves 4-8-8. Citizens of KBH rearranged so KBH produces 11 shields per turn with no food surplus.
Turn 5: KBH has 39 shields. Mildred moves 8-7 and is added to KBH. FA Worker moves 7-7-7. Both slave workers move 7 and are returned to AM. Bob, Harry and George cannot move. Citizens of KBH are rearranged so KBH produces 13 shields per turn with no food surplus. Citizens of Bokhara are rearranged so Bokhara uses ivory.
Turn 6: KBH has 52 shields. FA Worker starts mine. George and Harry move 7 and are added to KBH. KBH is size 8 and produces 16 shields per turn with no surplus of food (rearrange citizens of KBH and Bokhara so KBH uses ivory and Bokhara uses hill or plains). Production in KBH changed to library to try to maintain the illusion for at least one more turn. Bob moves 7-7-4. His goal is to start road on wheat 8-8 from Ta-Tu so the new dye city will be connected.
Turn 7: KBH has 68 shields. Production in KBH changed to Pyramids.
Turn 8: KBH has 84 shields. We are getting closer... and no word has been mentioned of our wonder building at this time.
Turn 9: KBH has 100 shields.
Turn 10: KBH has 116 shields.
Turn 11: KBH has 132 shields. Mine completed on grass 7-7 from KBH at the end of turn 11. KBH now produces 17 shields per turn.
Turn 12: KBH has 149 shields.
this turn:
Turn 13: KBH has 166 shields. Production in KBH changed to Statue of Zeus. time to scare them a bit
Word of this matter has been quietly leaked to McMeadows of the Bards.
Turn 14: KBH has 183 shields.
Change production to clearly show Statue of Zues
Turn 15: Statue of Zeus completed in KBH.
Vovan to release a full page splash on this wonder to the world.

Good afternoon Lord Rhoth of the Bards
Hoping that this finds you and your people well.
I understand that the sacred save is with you at this present time, and just thought to touch base with you re-time mangeagement coordination etc, just as I did with mac quite regularly. The Horde stands by at this present time to receive the passage of said sacred save.
Some Intel that Red Guard Operations (RGO) feels could be of importance to you and your fine nation.
The Desolators.
Yul Brynner (horse 4/4) who we DR boost survived a battle with your troops was last to be found hiding in woods at coordinates - Metallica 2,2,2,2
A yet unnamed (Immortal 3/3) was last to be found on the road heading north at coordinates - Antioch 9
Fred (warrior 3/3) was last to be found at coordinates - Metallica 2,2,3
Dave (warrior 3/3) was last to be found at coordinates - Ta-Tu 7,7,4. Dave is well out of theatre, just keeping you in the loop of all movements.
RGO feels that these units will / could be used as infiltration units to burst across your borders and cause panic, destruction and further mayhem.
The Babylonians.
I had a good long chat with Beta in the last 24 hours. The Babylonians are at this moment putting together the "1st Babylonian Battle Patrol" which will consist of at least 3 horse, possibly 5 or 6. This Battle Patrol with aid of RGO maps will make its way to the DR warzone and be fully available to pick off Desolator units that are running loose, as well as put further pressure upon the Desolators.
In this the Babylonians will then start full preparation for the "2nd Babylonian Battle Patrol", and get such on its way to the front asap.
This allows them to fully contribute, yet not have the hassle of starting their GA through use of slow moving Bowmen.
These fast moving Battle Patrols will be of great benefit to our Three nation Alliance (TNA).
Horde Red Guard.
The road between our people will be finished in the next 2 turns.
We have dyes ready for instant trade.
We have scouts in scattered throughout the centre of the map - the Common garden.
Several of our units are ready to move into your lands in the coming two turns, with a much greater force just behind them.
If Dave (Desolator Warrior 3/3 moves the next step, he may be able to see our troops entering your lands.
Hoping all is going well

Reply from Rhoth:
I have accepted the ROP and we have begun our march through the mountains.
DR will know we're coming though because of a sentry warrior (3/3 Simon). I
have cleared out all our workers from the paths you will likely take through
our lands. We will have a few more troops moving into position next turn,
but after that you should have a fairly clear run through our territory to
get to DR.
That's good news about the Babs. McMeadows will likely be contacting Beta
tomorrow to discuss the war as well.
We will have our second set of furs hooked up and ready to trade to you for
dyes within 4 turns.

and the email from Aqua before the turn was completed...
quote:
I can't believe you did that! After our chat last night where we shared so much useful information, and your clear interest in allying with us in some form or another, you go and kill our wandering Warrior who posed absolutely no harm to you, was clearly nowhere near the warzone you have previously been worried about, and was merely exploring lands as yet unknown to us! We have never made any move towards killing your Scout who has been near our lands, so why this now?
Clearly our fears have been proven correct. The Horde, with it's many voices (too many), is just not to be trusted. the Horde speaks with one tongue, and then acts on words spoken by another tongue.
The Council of Desolators will not be amused!

then he rang me....
quote:
..... we just might have to organize an alliance to rid the world of the Horde now....
.... what will you do when we change our plans and attack you....
.... you Horde are to reckless, you do not care for the long term good...
|
basically I let him rattle on and placed the blame on the fact that our polls said to take Dave out
then Aqua just emailed the following:
quote:
Ambassador Plato of the Horde,
Firstly, I quote your words to me on the 16th of May:
First and foremost, please let your council know that we have no
aggressive movements or plans against your nation
Now, some 3 weeks later and without any provocation on our part, you have attacked and murdered an exploring Warrior of the Desolation Row, who was well outside your borders.. This treacherous and barbaric act has occurred in the midst of discussions regarding tech trading and longer-term alliances. In contrast, your Scout wandering around our lands has been left in peace without so much as a single complaint from the Council of Desolators.
The Council of Desolators is disgusted by this abhorrent behaviour. Clearly your colleagues have no sense of the longer term implications of their impetuosity.
All communications with your immoral rabble shall therefore be severed immediately. Should you wish to re-establish relations with the Desolation Row, reparations must be made.
My final word is to express my dismay that the long established international precedent of using diplomatic channels to advise of grievances has been totally sidestepped on this occasion. Clearly Ambassador, your position within the Horde Council is powerless and worthless, and your colleagues respect not the international prestige and recognition that your position bestows upon you. Neither is your supposed leader, Paddy, able to command enough respoect within the ranks of the Horde to enforce established protocol.
Mark my words Ambassador.....the civilised nations of this world shall henceforth treat the Horde with great suspicion and mistrust.

Indeed, long live the horde!
For all of Aqua's mewling and feigned injury, I notice he immediately tries to turn the tables and threaten us with an alliance of the other nations. If only he knew the full extent of his predicament!
Besides, if the situation was reversed and they were in a position to wage war I doubt very seriously their first concern would be for the nicities of international diplomatic protocol!
