War Turn XI Browse Apolyton AD-FREE

So, uh, LL claimed that big coup on us this turn, but it really hasn't phased our army any. I think they may have inflated the numbers slightly for the public

Anyway, please take a look at the save and help me plot out the rest of this war. I honestly just don't have the time right now to dedicate myself completely to this, and I'm afraid it may cause some stupid misakes. I mean, this is a team game, right? Give me some support!

Tired of ads?

No time. Sorry. Not knowing what we did last turn doesn't help either.

I guess we're not here to talk about the past then?

Okay, all-out assault.

I noticed that our slow stack hasn't been touched yet, but only having one defender worries me a bit. It would have been nice to have more muskets in that stack before sending it toward the capital.

Now that most of the LL cities have been destroyed we can expect their remaining cities to have multiple defenders and attackers. We need more cats, muskets and riders at the front if we're going to break through their remaining defenders. I would actually concentrate more on the slow movers now that LL's lands have been reduced so much. Riders are of course necessary too, but cats and our own defenders will be of greater use with the greater concentration of LL's forces.

The riders can still be a fast-moving flanker force, but I think that it will now take some grinding with cats to reduce their musket effectiveness or else we'll lose a lot of riders attacking their strong points.

The all-out assault was actually a joke. If we have to pull back a few turns and wait for some of the grinder forces to get there then so be it. I'd rather wait a few extra turns then futilely beat our riders against their muskets.

Support Apolyton, buy Civilization III: Complete

Ok, we're in agreement then. My plan is to actually pull back the slow stack this turn to outside their territory (still in the mountains), regroup with the wounded riders and the reinforcements, and heal up. There are 8 cats coming up from the south that can join up with them in about 2 turns, as well. I think building some more galleys and ferrying muskets from the homeland wouldn't hurt too much, either.
