The only other board I frequent is http://www.youthrights.org/forums the forum for the National Youth Rights Association, my group.

I have a dual persona over on the NYRA forums. Since I'm the Admin, and since our members are about as militantly anti-moderation as any I've come across, I am regarded as some kind of hyper-Ming forum dictator.

Yet because I am President, and everyone there is passionate about youth rights, and I genuinely kick ass, they all look up to me because of my success, and hard work for the movement.

Politically I am somewhat of an enigma. Since I am a central figure in the organization, and since the organization is truly non-partisan and we have members from all political parties, I don't want to come out strongly in favor of one party or the next and risk alienating any members. So I keep my political leanings (if I have any) to myself.

Does the Eventis filter even recognise Laz's particular brand of arcane rudeness? And by way of an answer to this, I don't want a link and an invitation to try it myself.

Absolutely not, and there's no way it happens.

The filter is used for this kind of transformations: "u" into "you", "that" into "thät", or "Comrade Tassadar" into "Asshat poopy-poop"

Fortunately, these filters don't last too long, but the admins alwys find new ways to play with it

Sweet, we've been wanting to do that for a while on the NYRA forum. What is the link to the Eventis forum? If they are a big forum, I assume they use vBulletin (like apolyton and nyra), so what hack do they use?

It's not really a "they". Nearly all members of Eventis are regulars of 'Poly other games forum, or of the SMAC DG. I think we have a grand total of three members that aren't active at 'Poly as well.

We use PHPBB. Teh place of silliness is here.

my meow thread was moved, and I assumed will soon be deleted..

I can understand being out at the cafe, that apparently wasn't the place for it

but I thought that Pub was for the most part anything goes?

Did you post one of your two Meow threads at the cafe? Tass is the moderator there. He tends to move spam threads to the dump, while some other mods (me included) prefer to move spam threads to the Café.
