A large whack of mine is from my own CDs, but downloading music is legal in Canada (the record industry lost yet another appeal today).

On a second thought, it's no longer anti-cool to buy music is it? With that i-tunes thingy nowadays? (being anti-cool sort of was my point)

I feel an obligation to, since I get burned by taxes every time I buy recordable media (just bought a pile of CDRs the other day), and that tax is paid to the recording industry to pay for downloading and other forms of fair use.

The screenshot is content of this thread, you clearly posted it for some reason. Why threaten to whack people with the banning rod if it's not what you wanted to hear.

At least communists can all agree that censorship of opposing opinions is ideal.

You also got burned by taxes when you bought your iPod Shuffle, and it went to the recording industry.

Nope. That tax was deemed illegal earlier this year IIRC.

I've been up around 50 for a while now, and yes, I listen to all of it. It is pretty cool to think that if I had it play every song it would play for close to a month though

I think about three songs on a file somewhere.

One of them being a song called "I love you (but your labia minora look like wicket-keeper's gloves)"

I don't use my PC for music.

Laz if this is a reply to my Metallica comment.
I was just surprised to see that a guy who has 60 gigs of mp3s has no Metallica. I don't think that it is difficult to find 60 gigs of music without resorting to Metallica. I even think that it is possible to have 60 gigs of Metallica only.
Maybe my musical tastes are different from the majority but I enjoy very different styles of music. That is why I am surprised to see someone with a signifficant musical collection that does not include some really popular artists with some undoubtfully good songs.

I only have around 5gigs - my useless, very old laptop has less than 10 gigs memory.

Hence I also own a lot of CD's.

Only in an alternate universe. Even if one were insane enough to store their songs as wavs they only have about 14-CD's (14x700Mb=10Gb)
