EU2: My Lord, Austria has converted to Protestantism... Support Apolyton, buy Civilization III: Complete

I burst out in laugher when I saw this in my current Brandenburg game. What other unusual religious conversions have you seen?

That is bizarre. I assume that this was the state religion and not the religion of the various provinces.

yes it was the state religion.

I was reading the "strange screenshots" thread at the Paradox foums and one of the pics showed SPAIN as protestant.

As portugal, I converted to protestantism as soon as it appeared.

Actually, a reformed Portugal can be rather interesting... trade bonuses complement Portugal's natural strengths, and if you don't colonize too much at the beginning but instead capture eastern CoT's, you don't have much to convert.

Nah, we were in so good relationships that they didn't bother me on that.

The main problem was the many catholic Provinces (home and colonized) that I has to convert. My only hope to succesfully convert Tago was to wait for an event (With its large population, Tago is horribly expansive to convert, and the probability is very small). The event happened in the 18th century I think
