KOTOR

KOTOR2 was good as well. I'd have to put JKII as 3rd as well. It may have been FPSy, but good fun.

Never played KOTOR or that series... I'm an oldschool gamer.

That being said I'll vote for X Wing vs. Tie Fighter, but put in a word for Rebel Assault 2... I never made it past the second level of that game, but by gosh, I spent over 30-50 enjoyable hours blasting through that canyon level! And any game that can hold my interest through one level for that long, certainly deserves praise in my book!

1. X-wing/Tie Fighter(as it was a later and better version, but that first thrill from flying an X-wing against the Empire is hard to beat)

2. Dark Forces+DarkForces2(jedi knight)

3. Supremacy(Rebellion in usa), you can get a fan based patch/mod that improved it, but i always kinda liked it, even though it could be the most uncomfortable game to play ever due to that horrendous interface. i love tbs, what can i say

4. KOTOR1 - gripping for a good while, but not as open/replayable as i was led to believe.

No, but this really looks rather tasty. A turn based campaign map of the galaxy, with realtime space and ground battles, and units commanded in squads. Set between RotS and ANH. PERFECT

I liked it when you pumped out that first Super Star Destroyer and tied an Interdictor with a few other escort ships.

Or having a Death Star and blowing up worlds that were too fortified to take...although I did lose a couple of Death Stars from Trench Runs during the course of playing that game.

Why is Tie Fighter considered superior to X-Wing? While Tie Fighter had a better storyline and some cool features, it lacked X-Wing's atmosphere and was too easy.

TIE Fighter is by far the best Star Wars game. KOTOR has a great storyline, but was ridiculously easy. Not beat KOTOR2 yet.

Star Wars Rebellion is in the top 5.

Tie fighter's storyline IMO was far better, although you don't seem to agree ... and its controls were better, and its graphics were better. And, I prefer TIE ships to rebel ships (only A-Wing and maybe X-Wing are flyable in my style, others are tooooooo sloooooow ... )

Neverwinter Nights is top down (you can choose 3 different camera views in that game)

Don't forget the classics like Eye of the Beholder or the Might & Magic series. Both very prominent shooters.
