Beta suggested we name the workers with random 5-digit numbers.
http://www.random.org/
63041 45787 13704 40099 10742
74155 20264 43172 19826 37371
42592 34413 55006 27360 77182
33969 26309 89412 32210 57847
60234 42373 66447 98244 73564
45772 16002 67827 75234 71089
32453 35029 36126 94660 45048
47168 62806 57700 80266 61314
40579 23638 57507 88818 84932
79923 27216 94080 56644 25194
65164 32796 30158 49685 58949
55165 32704 83100 81857 12840
58694 32159 86900 33455 80461
58772 14512 38869 81806 32123
75005 22688 69367 95689 31582
16120 79084 39026 47114 21893
95836 29478 84688 29336 10714
43421 53845 12888 10109 52428
71636 45316 64193 68953 77516
91034 58147 28009 23799 65436
That should keep us for a while.
As we see below, servant is "Aved". Should our workers be "Aved 58147" instead of "BW58147"?

More Babylonian names...
http://www.bridgesforpeace.com/publ...Article-13.html
Belteshazzar - Daniel's new name consisted of Bel. being another name for the god Marduk. The name Belteshazzar means "May god protect his life."
Shadrach - In Hananiah's new name the last -ach is another form of Achu, the Sumerian moon god-a lesser diety in the pantheon of Babylonian gods. Interestingly, his symbol was a moon crescent.
Meshach - In Mishael's new name, as well, the -ach on the end of his name also indicates the god Achu, and one notices the -me or -mi meaning "who" and the -sha meaning "is like." His name means, "Who is like Achu?"
Avednego - Azariah's new name consists of Aved meaning "servant" -nego means "of Nebo." The name then means "the servant of Nebo." Nego is another name for Nebo or Nebu, after whom Nebuchadnezzar is also named.

But I toiled for what seemed like minutes on that.
What about the "Aved" prefix? Babylonian for servant.

I think if we have a duplicate name/number we go onto the next. We don't want to use incremental numbers.
We could come up with a list of actual names for workers.

OK. The famous rock list is a bad idea for catapults. Other than Ayres and Gilbraltar, I can't find many.
We could name the catapults like this:
So and so's hammer
Fist of someone
This god's anvil
Or (we do I suggest these things?) we could name the cats after famous cats.
Tom (and Jerry)
Felix
Oil Can Harry
Morris
Snowball 1-6
Duchess
Jose DelGato
Yes someone has already compiled a list:
http://www.citizenlunchbox.com/famous/cats.html
But this has nothing to do with Babylon.
OR...
We could name the cats after the city it is to rain doom on.

I am all in favor of the cats being named "Tosses..."
