Should Lucas completely redo episodes 4,5, and 6?

I just watched Star Wars, known these days as episode 4. Last night I watched Episode 3 in the theater. They just don't compare. The new ones are so much better. I suggest they don't mess with 4, 5, and 6, so that purists can still have their memories, but make all new versions.

The sword fight between Obiwan and Darth in IV was just pathetic.

When I watched it in '77 I was impressed, but...

Lucas talked about making it a 9 episode series about the time that ESB came out in theaters; at the time, IIRC, the plan was to begin filming shortly after RotJ.

Agree, but Star Wars the acting was lame too. Never much like the choice of whosit for Luke. In the later flicks he was even worse.

Harrison Ford made the whole series.

These young punks now days can't carry a movie like he can.

I truelly believe we are entering a dark age for good male actors. . All the old great ones are getting too hold. Gene Hackman, Jack Nicholson, Robert Duvall, Al Pacino, Robert De Niro. All getting too old for movies now.
