1) Institute the income-is-income tax. If you get money via salary, inheritance, capital gains, whatever, it is all taxed as income (except for first $100,000 capital gains for sale of owner-occupied residence).
2) Revive corporate taxes. They're legally "people" so they get to pay taxes like the rest of us.
3) Institute national health care along the lines of SB 840, now pending in California Senate -- i.e. single-payor plan.
4) Engineer pull-out from Iraq. Establish the number of troops necessary to keep the insurgency under control. When Iraqis are trained, pull out that number of Americans.
5) Refocus the War on Terror on bin Laden & al Qaeda.
6) Bring international pressure to bear on countries that use child labor and/or prison labor. Most-favored-nation status only to those countries with minimal labor and environmental standards.
7) Redirect energy policy to renewable and nonpolluting sources. Sign onto Kyoto Treaty but push for developing countries like India and China to cut back on their pollution as well.
8) "Fix" Social Security by letting future generations know that in 2050, those looking at retirement will have a choice -- retirement at 65 with 70% benefits; retirement at 70 with full benefits.
9) Extend usury laws to cover banks, credit-card companies and other institutional lenders.
10) Develop water desalination projects to irrigate the American southwest & elsewhere.
11) Develop high-speed passenger train system.
12) Push NASA towards a Martian colony.
13) Begin colonization of sea floor.
14) Order the creation of a solar-powered zepplin to be used as my Royal Sky Yacht.

Starchild, I use them to highlight or express the point I make or the insult I want to give. Yes, I know that bold means your shouting, but since I have to type it instead of speaking it. Well I'll use whatever works.

Funny, shouting was one of the major marks of certain nationalistic regimes in the first part of the previous century, and tact - well, I suspect that they didn't even knew the word, and of course the meaning of it was way above their heads.

Hmmm...
Germany, 1933-1945--National Socialism--Nazi--Racist and Socialistic.
Italy, 1922-1943--Fascist--see above
China, 1920-Present--Nationalist China (Chang Ki-sheik) defeated Warlords to unite country from foreigners influence. Civil War with Communists until Japan invaded. Both sides agreed to a cease-fire. Japan defeated, Nationals defeated by Communists after war, flee to Formosa (Taiwan). Communists in power ever since.
Southeast Asia--Nationalist movement seeks independence from France after WWI at Versailles Peace Conference. Falls on deaf ears. Vietminh wage guerilla war against France after WW2. French Indochina carved up after French lose at Dienbienphu. Cambodia, Laos, N & S Vietnam all created. Communist movements takes over all in 1975.
Cuba, circa 1800's--Nationalist movement against Spain. win indepence after Spanish-American War in 1898.
Cuba, 1950's--overthrow Batista regime. Castro declares himself a Socialist in New York when he comes to the U.S., Cuba a socialist dictatorship 'til today.
North America, 1775-1783--American colonies rebel against English rule.
Do you want me to continue on Nationalistic movements. Because Blackcat you still don't know what a Nationalist is. There are goods ones and there are bad ones. You fail to see the differences.

Hmmm...
1848-1864
The duchies of Schleswig & Holstein, German, revolted against Danish control in 1848 and were occupied by Prussian troops commissioned by the German Confederation, which had claims to the duchies. With Swedish, British and Russian help, the Danes held their rights to Schleswig-Holstein, until Bismarck came along in 1864 and went through you guys like s**t through a goose (Danish-Prussian War). Bismark didn't like the Austrians, and dealt with them next in 1866 (Seven Weeks' War).
If you are still suffering from that, you have Danish Nationalism in you, and you didn't even know it.

You don't get it. There was a great rise in nationalism in that period wich caused the wars. It has no impact now, that is not in the nationalistic way - in other ways it had some impact.
Can't blame Bismarck didn't like the Austrians - their fleet was a disaster.

Oh really, then why is there opposition to the EU; the latest being France--the so called champions of Multinationalism. Take out Multi and you have your answer. The Balkans during the '90's. Your still unsure, otherwise you wouldn't have added this tag to your statement.
