Let's bump this one... is there any progress on the decisions to open the fora or not? I would like to see them, and like them soonish... it's been a nearly month since the last time I saw something posted about opening a forum.

Vox is also fine with opening our forums. Someone will have to tell Jon Miller what to do though as none of us know how (or even if he can do it since MarkG might be the only one who can).

I think we have already archived the private forum of ND over in the Webringforum every registred User threre can read the threads some are partly in english especialy those where bongo speaks up he wrote in english and we responded in english but the most by far is in german.

The forum seems to be down right now but will go online soon i think.

btw, I don't know who suggested it, DeepO IIRC, but if we open our private forums they should not be for non-groupmemnbers to post in. I.e. , everyone can read them, but only the team can still post, otherwise there'll be a plethora of replies and useless posts messing up everything.

Can't we just open the fora, then lock them, like the archives? I don't see why we should be able to post in them anymore, seeing as the game is over. The public forum should be a perfect replacement in that regard.

Well, you know that you could just join every team and ask the individual mods to authorize you. Then once in, I think most of the people who played this game could show enough restraint to not actually post in the threads (or, like someone said, make a thread specificly for non- team members).

If you find something interesting, cut/paste quote the interesting parts into a new thread here in the public forum for open discussion.

well the problem with GoW is that the admins never gave me authorization powers in the forum. Panzer still has them. And Panzer hardly pokes his head around here.
