Civ4 section in beta Support Apolyton, buy Civilization: The Boardgame

CIVILIZATION 4 SECTION PUBLIC, IN BETA
(30 May 2005, 04:44 | About ) As the dust from last month`s server move to Settler III is starting to settle (pun intended ), we are glad to announe the beta opening of our Civilization 4 section.

The section introduces a new approach to the classic Apolyton layout which will be fine-tuned in the coming weeks, or be completely tossed out if you dont like it or we change our mind (or both). The main content of the section right now comes from Locutus` "Just the facts" thread, which has been reworked by the new Civ4 Moderators (and now forcibly Civ4 Content Editors) Locutus and Solver.

With the civ4 section we also introducing the use of CMS (Content Managment System) which allows us faster and easier content and presentation updates. We`re happy to have chosen one of the best systems in the world, Apogee Essence and we dont say this because one of the owners developed it.

Civ4 screenshots and links categories are being organized in the Directory and should soon be public. The Civ4 List will also be integrated in the section. We`re looking forward for your feedback at the forums.

Note that Markos does indeed speak the truth, and his Apogee Essence is a very nice CMS - easy to use and, which is great, fast, unlike so many other CMSs. Now Markos, don't forget to put Apolyton under Clients section of apogee.gr .

Looks great so far, this new site part. Perhaps a new colour to distinguish it from Misc/Alt.civs, like the CTP and Civ3 area, but I guess you'll come to that eventually.
