While we are waiting for Spaced, could either Jamski or DrSpike (or anyone else that has an interpretation) give an opinion on the result of an evenly matched A versus D.

It seems Gamecube is right in that his adjusted A versus my adjusted D resulted in a 0 and it should be the adjusted P divided by 2.

Spaced has stated that the damage was absorbed by armour and I have assumed this to mean that the damage, (when divided by 2) was either zero or less then zero.

Can this be or is Gamecube right or is there a 3rd possibility?

I would like to send in orders but the next round (and actually previous rounds) depend on the outcome of this discussion.

Without knowing the numbers, I'd have to assume that you're right - you have a -20 to opposing power, so unless GC's power was >20, he isn't going to do you any damage anyway ... if I understand this game correctly anywho

His hit scores half damage before armor is applied. so it is:

(Power+Weapon)/2 - Armor

if less than zero then no damage.

Gamecube's right, it's *after* weapons are applied.

So if A = D, then the damage done is (Weapon+Power-Armour)/2. You work out the normal damage done and then divide by 2. If it would hurt with a normal hit, it *still* hurts with A=D, it just hurts half as much.

Actually Sparrow would have more then 5 or 15 had I known that the results would change (I would have adjusted orders after the first hit) but in the interest of keeping the game moving I will accept it as it stands now rather then going back and redoing anything
