The future of the gaming world - Revolution? Support Apolyton buy from Amazon

I just found a link to this very interesting interview of a guy called Jason Rubin. I've never heard of him(I'm sure you guys have, the description of him sounded like he is well known), but boy did what he said sound interesting. Check out for yourself. Some of the most interesting points is that he thinks the time of graphics as the main dirving point of game development is going to an end, and his prediction of a revolution in the game developing world to change the power center from publishers to developers.

I'd love to hear what you guys think of his predictions and answers.

Support Apolyton, buy GURPS/ Alpha Centauri

Didn't he rather say that most of the development would go to India and China instead? And he put big "if"s to the "if they can find money..." which really make sense.

Lose 30 kilos (of popups)

Nice catch Nikolai.

I think there is still a little way to go before the graphics side gets saturated, but he is probably right it's not that far. And then we might be at a point where games compete as they did when all graphics were various shades of pants.
