I went paint balling today.
Got hit really hard at close range in my neck and shoulder (shoulder not pictured here).
It was a lot of fun anyway, anyone else do this activity? (I went with a couple of my friends)

I actually am really bad at it, and don't know if I hit anyone who wasn't already dead or a Ref...
but it was a lot of rush hiding from enemy 'fire'
a number of the games were really big, with ~30 people on a side
the people who had the fancier guns and equpiment really rocked those of us who were renting...
although same had better rental equipment then others, at one point I figured out that most everyone elses shots were going twice as far as mine before noticeably losing altitude..
(some of the reason I didn't do well)

Yeah I've played paintball a few times. Mainly with work guys. Its a heap of fun really. Just getting out there in the bush pretending to be a real soldier without any fear of death. I've only been hit a few times really, seem to have a knack for missing them. Though I have fallen down gullies into streams and mud many a time. At one game I took a tumble down about a 1m and a half fall into a stream, clogged my bloody gun up. Another time a mate and I had ourselves hidden up nicely watching a small section of the main stream cutting the place in two and just camped there and nobody could get passed or get a medic to get them moving again either, we'd just shoot the medic. It really is a lot of fun. Gonna probably be going again in another few weeks.

you must be really good, or perhaps our games are a little different (usually the game ends when a couple guys on one side haven't been hit (hit = out))
I would enjoy having a whole game set up with my frenids, and their freinds..
(not a general anyone who wants to thing...)
there was a stream in one of the fields for us to...
I just stayed on one side giving cover fire (which was mostly ineffectual because of hte fact that my shots were at least twice as weak as everyone elses..) and two of my frenids chaged across (even got waist deep in the water)

It bled for a while first...
doesn't look like much in that photo I agree..
still, I am proud of it
worse wound I saw of anybody else out there... (most were just quarter size bruises)

so I really should go find girls?
and first I showed it to my frenids who bailed and didn't go (to get them to go next time), next I fell asleep for a while, then apolyton
then relax for a bit...

of course not...
but a large part of that is that I don't have any 'interesting' girls right now (otherwise I would have tried it)
there were a couple end of last semester, but I scared one off being a spaz, and the other was at church (and I have rarely gone this year, so haven't seen her much, I don't think she was interested much anyway)
but I appreciate the pointers (and I gave a little thought to how I might see the girl at church, unfortunately I go on Saturday, which is now past)

(I really should start going out again.. I was ignoring girls to focus on other parts of my life, but those parts aren't any better and I don't really have any girls I am interested in, so I think the ignoring girls thing wasn't a winning idea)
(I was hanging out with the one I scared off for a couple of months (she had a distant boyfreind which isn't that bad of thing, we would hang out a couple times a week) but then I got a really good physics paper and really got into it and I see weirdly and pace when that happens and I haven't seen her again)

Our games we're all time limited. Except for this one course which was pretty tiny and just had tyres made up into bunkers. Had to fight your way to the other side and touch the barrel of the opposite team to win. Man that game could get bogged down if nobody wanted to move to get shot. Good though, very fast action.

The guns we get are rather shitty semi autos, quite weak and the way its set up is rather annoying.
I'm not very good at the tactics thing, I just like to go carefully, hell its my metaphorical life at stake here.
