	similar games Got spare money?

i was wondering what games were atleast close to as good as and similar to master of orion, maybe somethin i could download......mayhap for free....... i dont mind if its dated, sorry im cheap-i heard about javamoo or rise from ruins or something, but couldnt find anything in a conventional shearch, thanks for any help

Instead of searching a star map you search a game map, build settles in stead of colony ships. move pop from food coin to prod. produce building that give tech.
A lot like crossing Civ with Moo.
It's a great game and free down load.

MoM is more likely to not run on newer systems and is the only game I had to use modified config in XP to get sound.

I don't know of any games as good as Moo1, CivII maybe. Freeciv is on this site.

I liked it too and it had great sounds. It does have a big problem in that it has no idea of how to play, with probably the worst AI of all time.

Also star lanes make ravel so slow. Still firing those long range missile at a hapless ship was fun.

I still have it and play from time to time.

Oh, it has a ton of micromanaging if you want to terraform.
