The biggest problem is that most Indian tech workers aren't yet up to our standards (IIT grads, however, are among the best of the best). I have no doubt that they will be, and within the next decade or so, but right now, there's a lot of corruption and sepculation in the Indian IT market, which means you have a lot of people taking money who don't know what they are doing.

Yep, you are totally right on that Commie, this is sort of a smaller scale version of the dot-com boom/bust that happened here 5 years ago. (I can't believe it's been 5 years already).

That is exactly the example I was considering using. India's IT market is experiencing a classic bubble boom. I think it's reaching it's limits, however.

Hit the nail on the head . The idea that conceptual instead of rote learning is more relevant has not yet caught on fully .
