530ad Full PM-box? Change here!

I think the save is in now, I will only take a brief look though. Too late tonight.

I will probably play wednesday, tomorrow Norway is celebrating 100 years of independence

Until then, here's a message from tabe:

Sorry for the delay in response; not ignoring you! I was trying to start
some discussion in the Tabemono forum about the idea of a long-term
alliance, but participation is pretty low right now, unfortunately. The up
side is that I'm amenable to the idea, so if the team is just me, then we
can move forward with alliance talks! Anyway, I'll give them a few more
days, then I'll get back to you.

Browse Apolyton AD-FREE

Quick summary:
Kong(monkeys) offer us theology, kind of funny as we are researching it full steam only 2 turns left btw, feel free to negotiate with them. Demand they *give* it to us ASAP as we are in a hurry with our research and can't afford to lose a single turn. We'll throw some money after them according to what we save...

LL are at war with CoD, have they been for long? Can't remember...

All our units are unmolested

Tabe has moved a lot of units in position for an attack on LL capitol. I doubt they got enough though Many of their units are wouded already. (in case you wondered, they are S,S of LLs capital, exactly where they said they were going, I moved that 1/4hp knight past them to have a look)

LL seems to be sending a task force of 3 muskets and many workers (6?) se of their capital.

We are weak only to tabe now

Hi, are you the monkeys official spokes-eh-being?

Got your offer of theology(hmm, forgot to check if you renamed any cities btw ). We are only 2 turns away from it ourself, what would ask for it?

Reply to me or OPD

Bongo of MaST, PTWDG2

And got this answer from Beta

We are more than happy to provide it and work out the details later. To be honest- we would like Monarchy. But two turns of Theo doesn't equal a full tech. There is not much left of our civilization - so we don't have much to trade. But if Theo saves you two turns of research - its yours.

Besides - you were one of the friendlier civs during our recent - er - troubles.

We nothing to offer back but money so I suggest we offer them a share of our research savings. MEaining we can set the science slider to 0% until we recieve their tech. Switching is not recommended in case the trade goes wrong. Worst thing that can happen then is that we get a 1-turn delay.

Would it be cheating if we enter the "F1" during the first unit build to lower the tax rate this turn already?

Offered the monkeys a share of our research savings. Don't know how much it will be, rough guesstimate is <200

Suffering from ads?

Didn't LL declare war on CoD over CoD selling techs to Tabemono or something? I seem to remember there being a mention of it in the public forum a few weeks ago (one or two turns then...)

Can you enter the f1 screen from the city screen during the build phase? I know you can check other cities, but if my memory is correct, trying to go to f1 just closes the city screen and carries on to the next city as normal.

And what is it with Beta and getting his ass kicked at the start of the medieval era in demo games?

Help yourself to an AD-FREE life

I know the "F1" trick has been used in both isdg and ptwdg1 to avoid riots...

Remember, this is ptw

wm from SS, sent ours back

worker in neu neu neu theben
worker in irgends
marketplace in gasluokta
horse in wife city
spear in mirkwood
spear in military tradition
horse in bergbys

worker added to gasluokta, cut GL production from 22 to 2 turns switch from colosseum to library in temple mount, that will waste this turns production but on the other hand we will finish a building and can rush sistines next turn

research set to 0%, looks like that monkey deal will save us about 280g

northern force w,w of urania, 24 units, 12 knights, 3 jags, 6 pikes and 3 catas. knights can strike next turn

units:125
50 workers
2 archers
3 spears
3 horses
25 pikes
26 knights
6 catas
5 galleys
4 jags

Culture flip in Prague!?!? WTF?? This did *NOT* happen first time I opened the save. Only difference I can think of is that first time around I just accepted the AIs suggestions of new city builds. I may have stumbled upon a RNG-anomoly here. A reload using my original actions returned the situation to "normal".

Damn SS and their culturebombing

Is it worth spending the time to find out what the 3rd, 4th etc. place production strengths are? Or is there no pressing need yet. It's a rather time-consuming chore, i know.

We're probably close

Support Apolyton, buy Call to Power 2

You can get the number by the boring process of converting workers into entertainers so that the GNP and production, and seeing when positions change. It's probably not important enough to do so right now though, but it can be useful to gauge the likely production capacity of a potential enemy - it's often possible to match up numbers to each civ fairly reliably.

Although in PtWDG, Lego seemed convinced that GS was #1 or #2 in the world, when we were in fact #4 in most things. I can only assume they weren't paying attention.

Support Apolyton, pre-order Civilization IV

I know the drill, used it extensively in isdg

As you said, rather boring. Unless the findings are particularyl enjoyable. Had some extreme luck in my first ever PBEM, managed to kill a neighbour extremely early which netted me some prime land, coupled with carthage and the ptw ring-city exploits I had some 80% of the worlds production and economy in the early middle age Was getting techs every 4th turn and a massive positive cashflow. Actually, at the end of the ancient age 2 of my 3 opponents became unmeasurable even when only my city-square were worked
