I always use the word dude. One of my colleagues who is a woman got really mad at me for calling her dude. I asked "Dude, what else should I call you?"

Her response was that she wanted to be called "chicky babe" instead.

I use 'dude' a lot, sometimes I say 'man'

I use dude so much that I have called everyone in my family it on ocassion (including my mom), my dog, my wife, and have even called a couple of profs it in the past.

What can I say, I'm California born and raised.

My dog's name is Dude. It was either that or Amos (he slept in a Famous Amos cookie box as a pup).

I used to say dude a lot. But I think I got tired of it. I still use it, more often I say 'man', yet even more often I use 'hey'.

I use "buddy," "pal" and "ace" when making a snide/condescending remark at someone.

I use "dude," depending on the company I'm around. When around people my age it just kinda comes out a lot (same with "man"). Tech debates at lunch with fellow 20something geeks are pretty interesting.

That would be Amsterdams, not Dutch

I occassionally use it. I use "man" more often, which means the same in Dutch and English. Probably use "kee'l" the most though, which is Twents, a local dialect and my native tongue.
