Jon Stewart just ran a Samantha Bea interview with the dude who organised the Jonquière Wal Mart union (after it was formed, of course, the store shut down).

The interview was mind-numbingly funny (at least to me).

You know me well. The more I smile, the less I'm amused. Maybe I'll teach you the five point palm technique someday.

After hearing the raves on the internet I checked it out. I've seen 2 1/2 episodes, and haven't laughed once. Geriatric sitcoms on CBS have a better record with me. It's the sort of humor where you have to agree with the point of view of the writer, there is nothing universal about it. It's also as funny as it will ever be, this sort of stuff has a really short shelf life.

I thought the piece was funny in particular. I think it stopped being as funny when Bush was reelected.

It's to close to home and to close to the bone. That joke is'nt funny anymore - Smiths

I'm glad you like it. Seriously though, Daily Show fans went along for four years laughing at all the antecdotes of the administration. Thinking that the rest of America was laughing with us. They weren't.

I would have thought someone on the left would have agreed with me by now. Or someone the right would have told me how stupid this idea is.

The Daily Show was better when Kilborn was the host. He didn't give a **** about anything and wouldn't be caught dead pushing a political agenda. Back then, all they cared about was teh funny.

And Beth Littleford...
