So I've been thinking about this, and obviously the end result of "winning" that MZ offered is pretty cheesy. I'm not really sure I want to do it.

So I was thinking....what about going out in a blaze of glory and attack!!!

Well, we have done well diplomatically...

Which makes me feel less bad about MZs suggestion.

What is our current position, post screenshots and I will tell you if we should attack...

(do we have any Nukes.. ETC)

In other words.. is there a possibility of success if we attack?

Because I would prefer survivor to being destroyed...

No there's no chance of success if we attack, which was why I called the thread "Blaze of Glory". We have no nukes and they can of course nuke us into submission easily enough. The best we could manage would be to take and raze a few GoW or ND cities on Legoland.

But it would be fun to see the reaction of everyone.

Then I vote no...

If nothing else, we can try and disrupt a UN vote..

I always think it is best to play to win, and to suicide is not playing to win.

If we don't suicide, there is still a chance they will attack eachother... and then we can step in (do we have nuke tech, if so we should start buildng some)

When is the UN scheduled for completion?

If you want to do somehing.. we could possible hit the UN site when it gets completed...

Supposedly, according to MZ, both GoW and ND will vote for us at the UN if we can get to 25% land. That is possible. I just think it's kind of cheesy to "win" when we've had no legitimate shot at winning since the GS war.

If the team is in favor of continuing with MZ's plan, though, then I'll do that.

And no, we don't have the nuke tech. I'm quite sure neither GoW or ND wanted us to have it, and it would have taken us too long to research it ourselves.

Wow = what a dilemma. Winning by the UN vote is almost hypocritical after I have been so vocal against the 'shared victory' scenario. But to be honest - a UN victory for Vox is better for demo game evolution than a 'shared victory' by GoW and ND.

Or at least I think it is. To be honest - it has been a long and hot day - and I just finished a bottle of wine. But I sort of agree with Jon - war was never our strong point.

That is another thing.. how many transports do we have..?

If the answer is few, then Blaze of Glory is not a possibility (and we should start building some, in order to be involved if ND and GoW decide to Anhiliate eachother).

Okay, it seems we'll continue with the diplo path then. No problem. This was just a thought I had today and I was not entirely sure of it anyway. The team has spoken so I'll continue with MZ's plan.

As to transports...only one really. I had been thinking of just attacking the settlements on Lego.

That won't work I think, they are strong enough on the mainland to win without the Lego colonies.

I think we should build Transports ASAP, just in case one backstabs the other...

I know they're strong enough to win without Lego. That's the whole point of why I called it Blaze of Glory. We'd be able to damage them a bit, but nothing significant before they retaliated.

But again, I won't as the rest of the team is not in favor of it.

They won't backstab each other. By the tone of the posts in the main forum I can practically guarantee it. MZ may be many things but I believe he is a man of his word and he expressed abhorrence to the thought of breaking it to betray the alliance they had with ND.

I agree - it would seem the only two options left are the shared victory or Vox at the UN.

And now that have slept on it - I am more than convinced that we stay peace loving to the end. There clearly seems to be a collective will to carry Vox Controli into the next game. Vox's reputation was damaged earlier on for some of the stuff we did - most notably the attack on GS and the huge kerfuffle after that.

Heading into the next game, I think it would be good if people remembered Vox as that peaceful little builder and scientific civ, as opposed to a back-stabbing gang of immortals.
