Woohoo! Poker tourney results! Full PM-box? Change here!

So I just finished playing my poker tournament I was talking about before. Out of 238 people, in an 11 hour tournament, I finished 2nd!!!!

I won a trip for two to Vegas, to stay anywhere I choose, at whatever time I choose.

So, I need help - where should I stay?

Go to the luxor. Its the big black pyramid with the uber powerful light shooting out of the top that you can supposedly see from space.

I think its pretty cool.

congrats on coming in 2nd! Holy Beethoven's Bathole Buttman talk about luck!

Put an end to popups!

I'd stay at the Four Seasons without hesitation. The Bellagio would probably be my second choice.

Edit: The Four Seasons doesn't have a casino, if that's a big thing for you.

I've also been told that the MGM Grand would be a good choice.

As for making money, I already make a bit of money in cash games, but I really feel like, after this tournament, that I'm good enough to compete in tournaments and win some serious money.

I'm kind of not good at these games yet, but I'm trying to improve myself.. because I like playing (poker) and I like money. So far the two don't meet because I'm not good. I'm still in the 'pure luck' zone, and that's why I don't play for money yet. Who knows, maybe I won't get good enough. But I try.. watch all the poker tourneys on Eurosport etc.. good stuff..

Anyway I don't know where the best poker tables in Vegas are, but as far as resorts go, Bellagio is pretty cool, Venice is pretty cool.. Any big one in the strip is cool. I figure you want to be where the big ones are right next to each other, this would include also MGM Grand, New York New York, Excalibur etc.. They're all packed right next to each other and in fact they are interconnected too. Don't go to Stratowhatever, it's far from everywhere, don't go to the 'old strip', waht is it downtown or what ever, just stay in the other side of the strip as far as great places go. For good games, that's something someone else knows.

I assume you also play online.. would you recommend any good ones?

I rarely play online - I actually hate online poker. The card randomness is differnet, and I tend to do better anyway when I'm playing with physical chips, at a physical table, with people I can see.

And the 1st prize was a ticket to the Main Event of the World Series of Poker. Normally I'd be disappointed I didn't win, and I am a little, BUT if I had won the ticket I would have had to pay my own travel and hotel.

This way, I get an all expenses paid trip for two to Vegas, where all I have to worry about is gambling money, and I'll probably just play a couple tournaments anyway. I'm definitely happy with this, it worked out fine for me.

I wonder about card randomness also online. Seems like i never get pocket Aces and always get J-7 or something like that.

Who cares where you stay? You're going to Vegas! The important question is: who are you taking?

By the way, I've ALWAYS loved your choice to be without an avatar. You're your own man. That's very admirable.
