Too late to make a plan now; I'll look at it tomorrow. But, some City Stuff:
Babylon completes Horseman. What next? We can build Libs now, but I think that should wait for the time being; it doesn't look like we'll be doing any more research during the Ancient Age. So, another horseman?

We're a SCIENTIFIC civ, so our capital ought to get an early Library. Another option for Babylon might be a settler since at a glance it looks like there's half a dozen or so city sites left within our natural boundaries.

As we don't have a Granary there, it would take a while to get the pop back up to speed.

The thing is, we have LOTS of hills that we need to get mined, because that city has a lot of potential to be a Wonder Monster. If we go that route, I would suggest building Hanging Gardens first, then possibly a prebuild towards Leo's.

But I would get a quick Lib built first (with a chop or 2 to help speed things along). I'll try to have some details in a few days, as I'm still getting into the swing of things.

I wasn't aware that our capital was missing a Granery.

So, half price library, then granery, and then maybe a wonder.
I'm thinking the Musieum, it's only 200 shields and counts as Scientific towards getting our GA. (I strongly sugest using semi-steatlh)

All right, Babylon for a Library.

Good point on wonders. If we get the Library done now we'll be free to go for a Cath and/or wonders.

I don't think Babylon should build a granary, though. It has no food resources and, as E_T says, there are plenty of hills that will make it a good production city once mined. We have 2 2-turn growth pumps (GoT and PoA) that should be good for pop units.

Edit: And I don't think we should go for the Mausoleum. While it does give us the Scientific part of a wonder GA, we can build Cathedrals for less than half the price of it once we get Monotheism.

Stealth is the onlt way toi go.

Does anyone realize that LB is building Colossus? It would give them their Seafaring half for their GA, which leave the Ind part for them.

BoH has their Mil part with SoZ, which leaves Exp onders to get their GA. Athough, I REALLY don't think that they will trigger their GA with a wonder....

Suggestions for Workers for this turn Browse Apolyton AD-FREE

BWorker7 - as planned, start Roading
BWorker3 - Move to the forrest at Bab 7 (WF #8) - move 7-4-4 to get there. Will start a chop next turn for the Lib. If Bab is NOT doing a Lib next turn (i.e. another Horse), then he needs to go 7-8-8 (headed towards new city - road project for now).

Can I get a list of the names that the workers that we have are going to be renamed? I also need the list of what the new workers are going to be called.

I think that we really should get one more horseman out of Babs before we go to Lib, but I'll go either way.

Only a Very Limited amount and ONLY a certain times. Like When a city Grows or loses Pop, when the city borders expand and when you click the city center in the city page. What this will do, is move the WF around (if border expands OR city center is clicked) or set the WF of a growing pop to that tile that is more advantagious, with a certain amoint of food surpluss.

Try, on some of your games (or this one) with setting Governer to different things (trade, food & production and combos of them) and click the city center. Sometimes it won't make much of an effect, depending on your current food surplus.

The nice thing about setting for production, is that you can help predict as to what tile is going to be used when a city grows. Because foodbox is figured before shield output, you will get an extra pop that will (hopefully) add to your Production build.

Why would you want that? Say you have a size 4 city with 16 food in the foodbox (4 more to grow), your current WF configuration gives you 6 Shields per turn and 2 Food per turn. But, lets say that just moving 1 WF (or even 2, but 1 is best for this example), that gives you 4 Food per turn but only 3 shields per turn. Well, with the Governor set to Production, it will add that new worker (9 times out of 10) back onto the tile that you originally had and you STILL get that 6 shields for that turn AND your city grew 1 turn faster.

Sometimes, it doesn't work quite right, because of lower food surplusses or lower pop levels, but that can sometimes be fixed with having the govenor also emphsizing trade. But those are rare cases.

Granted, after a border expands (which happens AFTER growth and production are figured, thankfully), you might have to change a WF back to what you had it at, but as long as you know when it's going to happen, your going to be o.k.

Definitely don't trust the computer to do the work. But in the case of growths and cultural expansions, it's impossible to make the choice yourself, so you have to try to influence the governor to make the choice you want.

City of Babylon WF for this next turn Support Apolyton buy from Amazon

O.k., first off, I'm still of the opinion that we need to have 1 more Horseman before we build the Lib.

Next turn, the city grows to size 5, and the current Horseman in production is built. Set the WF to 1-2-8-13-16, this will give us 9 SPT (with only 1 FPT growth rate) which will become 10 SPT with the Mine getting built (which will also get us 10 shields, not 9 for the first turn of the build). That will give us 3 turns for the Horse and then 4 turns after for the Lib.

This will also let me get some things going with the Hills and delay the forrest chops for a Market build.

Trust me on the growth rate we can love without it for now and I have a few ideas as to getting a better rate for now.'

-Felinicity sugar switches with PoA river plains

Garden of Tammuz 2-3-8-10-19

So, you DID set the WF in Babylon to what I had requested?

As it is, we won't need the chop right now, but IF we get Currency very soon (we know that 2 people already have it), then we can use that chop for a Market.

But I think that we should delay just a bit on that chop (too late now on the worker move.

If I had know that we already had the save (and in my hands), I would have had the worker go the other way.

Babylon does get 10 spt, but also 2 fpt. (We had some free bonii due to IT and GoT doing shield-unintensive workers.)

On the chop: We can still speed up the library by a turn. Babylon will have to give a bonus back to IT, so it can go 8-6-6 and get some more food.

Alternately, I suppose we could skip the worker for a few turns and use forests to keep Babylon at 10 spt and complete the Library in 4 turns without a chop, chopping with the worker in time for the next build.

INTELLIGENCE from this turn Support Apolyton or Terrorists Win

Someone now has Constrution. Current cost to us would be 450 beakers (or gold)

2 civs still have Currency. Current cost to us would be 320 beakers.

No one currently has Republic. Current cost to us would be 720 beakers

LB is still building Colossus in Transylvania.
BoH will have built their first AC this turn (from SoZ), next expected in 1300 BC (all very likely Vets).

GNP (from least to most, in Millions): 43, 53, 54, 54, 57, (us SOT & EOT 62). We are better than everyone else, even with no Libs.

Mfg. Goods (in Megatons): 27, 28, 30, 33, (us SOT 35, EOT 34), 37. One civ just beats us with TOTAL SPT (after corruption), but we can still find out their range (i.e. we can change WF to get above them).

Productivity (no 'value assiged'): 81, 85, 91, 92, 97, (us SOT 110, EOT 112). We are better than everyone in this. so we have a fair surplus of food, so lets use it.

Why is there 2 BoH Swordsmen 9-9-9-8 (one is Elite) of Lake Inanna? Seems to me that that isn't quite the way to DR territory from theirs. Could they be headed to LB??

We have Barbs near LI (don't know were) and Hook (likely 1-1-2-2 of Hook).
