I'm wondering if acts of arson qualify as a terrorist act. I ask because recently the Danish Immigration Minister had his car set on fire and the fire spread to his house. The fire was set at 3am when the minister and his family were all sleeping but luckily he, his wife, and their two children got out of the house and firemen were able to put the fire out. A group called "Beatte Without Borders" claimed responsability for the attack claiming it was in response to Denmarks "racist immigration policies".
There has been a lot of recent tension between native Danes and the muslim immigrant community including a recent case were a muslim man got into a fight with a bouncer at a bar and ended up being killed. A muslim cleric publically called for the paying of "blood money" which the immigration minister rejected as "medieval". He also went further by saying "Nor do we trade camels in Denmark".
Police aren't saying who the suspects are but many believe the attackers were muslims who were angered by the ministers words. Racist or not I hope they catch the arsonists and I hope they get life in prison for endangering the children who were in the house. What do you folks think of this case? Is Denmark racist for not accepting more immigrants or are the Danes wise to avoid the many hassles caused by foreigners?
