I am not sure if I should read anything more into this or not, as on it's face it appears that Kassiopeia is trying to tell us that there are no clues hidden in the story, but perhaps what he is really doing is describing the intellectual level of the mafia? If it's Mrs. Tuberski or Adrian Hon picking: If they pick the side of the coin named inside the file, they live. If they name the other side, they lose.

I will consider anyone who is not Mrs. Tuberski or Adrian Hon to be picking for Adrian Hon, just for the sake of clarity. So if someone who is not one of them two picks correctly, Adrian lives, if not, Mrs. Tuberski lives. Either way, it's 50%. Just don't pick until I have posted the locked .zip

After a most suspenseful, tied vote, and an even more suspenseful toss of a coin, it was time for Adrian Hon to die.

But the killings (the executions aside) continued with abandon: now it was Spaced Cowboy's turn to end up mauled in a gutter. All sorts of horrible things had been done to him with a rack and a comfy chair.
