8-tracks RULE! I have an entire wall devoted to them!
If I don't use it for about two years, its time to go.
Hey man! What am I doing with a lousy 3.5 Pentium 4 when they just came out with a 3.6?

How much of a pack-rat are you? Support Apolyton buy from Amazon

My wife and I are cleaning out a room for our new baby girl (expected in October). In the process, we are coming accross lots of old stuff. What prompted this poll was the discovery of two boxes about a 1 ft cubed full of old cassette tapes. We moved them from our old house into the new one over two years ago, and they were already boxed up from the previous move. All in all the tapes have been in boxes for over 5 years, never seeing the light of day. As these were my wifes tapes, I asked her what we should do with them (instead of just doing what I wanted to do and toss'em), and she said "Well, I don't want to keep them, but we don't need to make them easily accessable."

WE HAVEN'T EVEN TAKEN THEM OUT OF THE BOX FOR FIVE YEARS!!!

Anyway, I think you get the idea. So, Apolyton, what kind of pack-rat are you?

(PS-I might add that we don't have a great deal of storage space)

some things are antiques and should be kept to pass down... cassette tapes .. im not sure they qualify
but who knows.. there are 8 track nuts still out there.

im somewhat of a pack rat.. but ive been sorting through things over the last year and tossing a lot of stuff... actually the cassettes and cd's were next on my list... my husband collected 80's hair band music.
which i don't care for.. but ive not been able to part with any of them yet... more of a sentimental thing..
i have all of judas priest cds... bet you would not imagine that... lol

I'm a hoarder. I feel sick about the things I have thrown out in the past, especially my beloved Commodore 64. If only I had a time machine...

Lose 30 kilos (of popups)

I'm bad, but not as bad as my grandfather. We still haven't clean out all the crap he hoarded, and he's been dead six years.

I still have all my lego's. Haven't done anything with them, or many of my other toys and games for many years, but I'll be dammed if my Bebop figure goes anywhere!

Lose 30 kilos (of popups)

There has been maybe three times that I have made a real effort to get rid of crap that were once either sentimental to me, or were being used at one time.

when I moved out of my dorm after completing undergraduate school

when I moved back home after completing graduate classes

when I repacked stuff I have in storage where I'm at now, from the flimsy, no-good cardboard boxes, to sturdy, clear plastic storage boxes with lids.

I am pretty bad, by sometimes I do get rid of stuff. furniture mostly. The top of my closet is filled with all sorts of junk, though. It's quite a shame.
