	Does this happen to anyone else or am I going insane? Remove this text

Sometimes I wake up in the middle of the night so suddenly that I think that the dream I've been having is still true, this can result in some very strange behavior on my part. Once I woke up and then spent a few minutes telling my roommate that the Romance Languages Department now owned my window and I wouldn't believe when he said that that wasn't true. More recently I've told my fiance that there was a chair floating in the air next to the fridge and I kept on pointing at it apparently and then last night I woke up in the middle of the night convinced that I had to take the bedspread off the bed and put it on the floro, which didn't make my fiance too happy.

Does this happen to anyone else or am I sinking into insanity?

never had any trouble with it...i just fall out of bed if the dream starts to be to weird or sexy

Yeah I get sleep paralysis from time to time. And it's usually a part were I'm chased by killers too. So I'm awake (feels VERY real, even more real than realistic dreams, since it IS real), and I'm still in sleep mode, meaning I'm wake, I can't move, I can't breath good, and I think the killer is behind me about to stab me in the back with a large kitchen knife or machete, and I can't even move to face it to fight or something, I'm stuck, paralyzed, and very awake. It's not fun at all.. It can last like 10 seconds too or so.. pure horror. But it wears off quick.

yeah.. it is scary. I don't get them so often anymore though.. and it was not like once a week either but say once or twice a month is bad enough, because it feels exactly like about to be killed and you can't move. The feeling stays (the bad feeling) even after you wake up for a little while. Not very nice... The 'I NEED TO RUN!' and you can't move, and you are damn semi wake.. not fun. But not too rare, happens to quite a lot of people. Mostly people who are sexy and intelligent.

never had it that bad...but when i was younger i had the being chase dreams too...but i could only move in 1 direction...forward or backward...it was like i was stuck and couldnt move anymore...and the killer closer and closer...then i woke up...still scared shitless but able to move atleast

That sounds annoying but that's not what I have, I can move just fine (which is part of the problem) and I'm not scared just very very convinced that whatever strange thing I'm talking about is true.

Yeah, my wife occassionally does that, Bosh. It's just another form of sleepwalking. Don't worry about it.

I used to have long, coherent conservations at night with my mother (when I was a teenager). It was only after one of them when she talked to me the next morning that the two of us figured out I was sleepwalking and had absolutely zero memory of them. It was a surreal moment.

I frequently have the sleep paralysis issues too...usually when I've slept too much lately. Always makes me panic even though I sometimes know what's going on.

I don't generally still think I'm in my dreams, but I will sometimes be mad at my financee for a while after I wake up if she's done something to me in a dream...a lot of times I don't even remember the dream.

I've had several dreams like that, where after I woke up, I was absolutely convinced that it was real. The worst was when I thought I'd been paralyzed in an accident. When I woke I began to cry and scream, realizing then that it was a dream. It still took me the better part of a day to shake the greif I felt.

A couple of years back, Bunnygrrl became convinced that someone was in the room, trying to kill her, and would bolt out of the bedroom, though once she was sneaking out of the room in a very exagerated way. I asked her what she was doing and she said "What are YOU doing?" She thought I was trying to kill her. So we don't let her watch stories about Henry VIII anymore. This happened more or less three nights in a row.

I have something else.

I would become awake physically, but my brain would be in a dream state. I could see with my eyes, but the interpretation got all messed up. Like once I thought the outside wall to my room fell off and I could fall outside at any moment.

I've had a few dreams like that, which sometimes end with me getting very worried about missing an exam, or asking my girlfriend strange questions about whether she's rescued the cats or something. I usually remember all of my dreams - I wonder if it has any connection?

When I was a kid I had 3 recuring chase dreams...
1.Being chased by witches on a galley;
2.Being chased by Satan through the streets and alleys;
3.Being chased by Vader, with his lightsabre, in a supermarket.

Whenever they killed/caught me I woke up. Now that I'm older they refuse to face me.

This does to be a form of sleepwalking. I do it at times but i dont remember the incidents at all. Tubers doesnt bother to wake me he lets me fumble around and what not follows me and gets me back to bed He says i talk to him and stuff but i never remember it

I've had dreams about loosing teeth lately... Several times, and allways just one tooth. Could be because I have a toothache, should get an appointment...

Anyways, last night I dreamt I was a female hooker.
Wonder what Freud could say about that...

Had a gf once who would get up and wander off. I'd ask her if she was awake and if there was no answer I knew she wasn't. She would answer some questions but not that one, I think it confused her. We slept in a loft with a ladder. I built a hatch because one night she got up and was standing at the top of the ladder. I got up and helt her arm until she came to. Said she was about to jump in the pool...could have killed herself if she had, there was no pool. The hatch had a lock, so she couldn't do that again.
