Resource Distribution Support Apolyton, buy Alpha Centauri

How do we want them:

Option1: 100% fair! All teams have reasonable access to all resources. Each team has the same number of luxeries within a certain range.

Option 2: Mostly fair! All teams have reasonable access to these resources: Iron, Horses, Salt Peter, Coal, Uranium, and Aluminum. Each team has the same number of luxeries within a certain range.

Option 3: Semi-fair! All teams have reaonable access to Iron, Horses and Coal. Each team has the same number of luxeries within a certain range.

Option 4: Not-so-fair!. All teams have reasonable access to either Horses or Iron. Some teams could have both but at least all teams would have access to at least one. Luxerie placement depends on only where the map generator puts them; no replacement of luxeries to "balance" the map.

I don't want to have to play a game where the only iron on the continent vanishes again.

Therefore option three fits the bill rather nicely.

Support Apolyton, buy Civilization: The Boardgame

Option 4. There's no fun in knowing that you have iron, horses, and luxuries nearby. You know that they're there; it's pointless. If there were an option 5 that didn't guarantee anything, I'd have chose that one.

Put an end to popups!

Semi-fair. Apolyton always gets screwed by the map generator anyway so I'd be leery of option 4.

It's not a given we will get Sumeria.

Besides, how fair would it be for APO, or any other team to have a voice in dertemining the type resource allocation as descibed in the options above after we found out we would be Sumeria or any other Civ?
