Sweet!!! They fell for it.

Unless they have a bunch of unseen units that can get to that mountain next turn then we can take that mountain and plunk Invictus from relative safety. Even if they do get a few units up onto that mountain I suggest we attack those few. It will be worth it.

I think we shall have invictus nextturn.

I checked btw and it looks like they're the same immortals. Can't be sure, they could play the renaming trick inversely - ie instead of renaming them to appear to be more, they could have made them appear to be less ... but honestly that makes little to no sense.

What do you think about attacking it with horsemen in 1325? Especially if it has an immortal inside (great chance to get a 2v2 attack on an immortal )

The question though is what do we want. If we want to burn it then yes attack next turn (I'm inclined to do so). If we want a base then we shouldn't attack with the horse as we cannot defend it and DR would take it right back.

Something else I've been thinking about is a point snoop raised a while back about reinforcements. At the time we were still potentially under threat from an attack by DR, but I don't necessarily think that's the case anymore. We could conceivably sent 5 swords and the 3 cats down the road near Nirvana and travel over the hills. Once we get off the mountains that force can join up with the main force. Thoughts?

That's reasonable ... and it could be a neat side-swipe in case they somehow stop us here.

Perhaps Rhoth is right though, I sort of want this city for our own rather than just a quick burn down ... we should probably wait and take it in 1300.

If they leave it open next turn then I suggest we burn it. If there are units inside then we might as well wait until the turn after. I won't be around much longer to give my opinions though.

Congrats again.

I agree with burning empty city, and leaving alone full city.

We should also consider: Are they trying to get us to take the city, so that (some of) our forces will be on a plains square (and thus easier to defeat)?

Also - we should (and not me, as i'm on vacation) make sure that BoH sends us currency this turn (should be done i think) and Babs get sent currency (perhaps even get BoH to send it directly this upcoming turn to Babs, so they get it a turn earlier).

Why? Because I thought we could get upgrades to pikemen in Invictus. Of course i'm wrong, because i'm dumb... so just get Babs their techs as soon as is convenient

If occupying Inviticus stalls our SOD for too long, I say burn and march onwards to at least harrass their infrastructure
