This heat here... is deadly Lose 30 kilos (of popups)

It's 30+ degrees Celsius here all day long, for days and days..
This is inhuman, all the more because I'm having exams and I can't get **** done with these temperatures

Any tips on cooling down from people that find 25 degrees to be a bit chilly?

We were having this same problem here in Ontario a few weeks ago, and actually its just starting to return. Here's some tips from my experience:

1. Close windows during the day, keep the blinds down.
2. At night, open the windows to let the cool air in.
3. Buy a few fans that stand 3-4 ft off the floor (the cheap kind)
4. take those fans and position them at oposite corners of your bedroom and have them all blowing directly at an open door... after a few hours you should notice a bit of a difference.
5. Have another fan blowing directly on you.

Ultimately though, nothing can beat an air conditioner.

This response is getting old.

We all don't live in hot places, therefore we're not as used to it.

it is particulalry excrusiating because there's so much humidity in countries like Belgium. so it's either an airconditioner or going to the conservatoire gardens and be eaten alive by musquitos. or a airconditioned library. if you take fans you'll have to put them on maximum mode to have any effect so you'll loose your study time trying to keep your papers down

Splash your naked body with eau de cologne and then get birched by succulent bronzed tattooed loveboys.

Alternatively, wear cotton next to your skin, loose clothing only, and carry a spritzer with a solution of rosewater or a citronella based spray, and every so often give yourself a refreshing facial. Of course you may find bees and wasps dying to consume your face, but what's life without a little excitement ?

Less clothes

Also, make sure that the Belgian old people don't die from the heat. France was hit by a hitwave two years ago, and tens of thousands of old people died as a result of insufficient preparation (no air conditioning, no information about the necessity to rehydrate often). Hopefully, you won't have the same ****-up.

We have a similar climate on the oceanic arc of Europe (Britanny, Cornwall, Ireland...). And Britanny was actually the French region that suffered the most from the heatwave, because it was the least prepared for warm climate.

When it gets hot here the fog will usually come in and cool things off. 90 down to 60 in 10 minutes.
