PBEM(s) to help "flesh out" possible tacticts Support Apolyton buy from Amazon

Proposal for a (or set) of PBEM's that will play the Civs that we are currently playing in this game.

The choices are:
1) Sumeria
2) India
3) Dutch
4) Iroquois
5) Celts
6) Maya

In the first game, I'll take Sumeria. If there is a 2nd game, I'll take Iroqouis.

For turn trackingthread name purposes, we will use the standard turntracking Forum, with the naming convention of:

DSS #? for intersite Demogame Stratigic Simlation game number ??

Maybe we can get Dominae to work up a map that is fair tp everyone (or approximating the specifics of our game). I'll send him an e-mail/PM tomorrow.

But it(they) would be mostly Random.

Support Apolyton, buy Civilization: The Boardgame

Experience in the last ISDG showed that none of the PBEMs survived.

Plus I doubt people would be interested in starting new PBEMs when Civ4 is around the corner.

(Heck I wonder why we're even interested in this demogame at all... )

Some of the PBEMs from Round 1 here have survived, though.

I agree that it wouldn't be much help with Round 2, though. In the DG we've already completed Round 1, while in the PBEMs we're still plodding along in the BCs of the Round 1 games...

Yep. If you want ot sim it, I suggest setting up some time to do another type of PBEM, where everybody is on at once.
