IKEA is cheap and good, but a pain in the ass to set up and keep together for a long time. It doesn't take long before it begins to move more than good is if you don't tighten the screws.

we have IKEA desks at the office too (keeping the initial costs low )

I am very competent with flat pack though, so these things pose me very little problem. Having a full tool set and drill also helps

Most of the contents of my place are the results of working with my own hands Bear in mind I am an analytical chemist which is a pretty practical job so I do have a natural ability with this kind of thing. Must have been all the lego I played with as a kid
