now, I'm just being a smartass here and taking selective quotations COMPLETELY out of context
(IE I suppose I'm spamming- but for humorous purposes)
quote: fanaticism that President George W. Bush brings to every aspect of his life |
:afraid:
quote: Mr Bush ... the dim, war-mongering Texas cowboy |
quote: It’s an executive office, he points out, a place where decisions are made. “So the... decision I had to make was what colour the rug should be |
quote: The next thing he learnt ... For all second-term presidents, political mortality is more evident with each day that passes. Oddly, hemmed in by tightening domestic political constraints and the slow but remorseless shift of public attention away from them towards the competition to be their successor, they can find themselves struggling to count.
The usual pattern is to turn towards the rest of the world, where presidents can wield America’s largely untrammelled power.
But for President Bush, foreign affairs offer no respite from his struggles, no freedom of manoeuvre; indeed they are the main focus of his difficulties.

...Read no further. Those lines were just too good to pass up for satire purposes. The rest- well- let's just say that the content wasn't intriguing enough to read any further. It merely seemed to repeat past news.
Though you know, I never quite figured out why people call Bush dim? Oh well, slander is the game of politics and satire.

Oh, poor Drakie is sad to be exposed as nothing more than a stooge for Kuci and maybe Jaguar
You know the immortal song Drake, and its so appropriate, no?
So, come on, Laugh, Clown, Laugh:
quote:
Life is a play and we all play a part
The Lover, the Dreamer, the Clown
The Dreamer and Lover are always in tears
The Clown spreads sunshine around
The life with a smile is the life worthwhile
The Clown till the curtain comes down
Even though you're only make believing
Laugh, Clown, laugh!
Even though something inside is grieving
Laugh, Clown, laugh!
Don't let your heart grow too mellow
Just be a real Punchinello, fellow
You're supposed to brighten up a place
And laugh, Clown, laugh!
Paint a lot of smiles around your face
And laugh, Clown, don't frown
Dressed in your best coloured humour
Be a pallietto and laugh, Clown, laugh! |

The Man - as in Bush - is not Stupid. He's a Fool, and a narrow-minded one at that - something infintely more dangerous. Statements Like "Bring 'em on" and "The End of Hostilities" come to mind. I'm thinking about getting one of those black ribbons, and printing myself a bumper-sticker. That says - I got to bury one of Bush's mistakes. The only problem is that this is a red state where lawn signs that say "Give Peace a Chance" get vandalized (happened to a friend). Sigh, I don't want my car dinged up even more.
