It seems it has come down to a question of:

a) #1 with North Ishtar

or

b) #2 without.

And I think it was running 5 to 1 in favour of a). Can you live with that Klo? Any last objections or arguments that might convince us otherwise.

Oh its WAAAAAAY more than that, you haven't been to MZO much lately. I haven't either but when I do pop over there, he is on me like a fly on ****, even when Im trying to be "normal", if there is such a state for me.

Yes work is getting better, but Im not quite there yet. I just got a new big boss and Im working him, on all the bu11sh1t thats been going on the last year.

Mainly I don't see the point of antagonizing AM with more than our taking of the incense at the moment, for a possible alternate invasion route in the future and not much more. But I'm fine with it, and that would appear to be the will of the team.

In the last 6 hours - I am starting to agree with you. I am thinking any alliance with BOH will be more pain than it is worth - in which case - we had better stay friends with our neighbours.

E_T - can we continue this debate until the last possible moment. I really do think that the political situation with BOH may impact this decision.

the last possible moment, comes in the play of the 1225BC save, as that is the point that we have to turn the settler to oe or the other site.

Although, with that one AM Horse, we might want to wait 1 turn before moving, to allow 2nd Spear to join them (from LI, moving Bowman Micha to LI to keep happy).

I now think with the current political situation that we should abandon altogether any plans for settling either of these sites. The settler enroure should return and settle the iron iste - using the hill for defensive puroses. Our next settlers - if we porduce any, should settle south and west of Babylon. We need to pull in our horns, max our production, and build up our military.

How do the rest of you feel about this.

I'm still in favor of the Incense city.

I've been thinking we could offer AM first crack at making a (favorable) trade deal for the other incense. Would probably help avoid animosity over our taking the incense.

Well - if we do the incense city - then I do NOT want to use a settler for North ishtar, and I want to use site #2 as that will be the least likely to pi$$ off AM.

But I would still be happy to pass on it. I am thinking of E_T's conviction that BOH troops are on there way here now. If that is the case - this city will be a prime initial target and may fall quickly.

They may have signed peace with DR, but they have declared war on Euphorica. An attack on us by BOH would be quite illogical. Though, being illogical, it's quite possible BOH is going to do it; I just don't think it's at all certain.

good information was discussed with Krill today regarding city and border issues with A-M. See the chat transcript and E-T's summary.

If BoH isn't on the way, we have some decent city expansion possibilities.

Yep - I agree. After reading the chat log with Krill of AM - I think we should proceed with the site as negotiated by E_T.

And Klo - I suspect they aren't on their way. Besides - a hill town with walls and 3 pikes in it would be hard to crack. And it would be a great early warning site. Unless of course they come thorugh LB territory - but I think that is highly unlikely.

Err, okay... and the iron site would be early warning how? Are you saying you agree on going for the incense, or talking about another site?

BTW, PoA is close to finishing another settler. Another 1 or 2 turns. We could easily use that one for an iron site while still going for the incense.
