Thanks for the welcome thread! Took me long enough, but I have finally arrived!

A kind g'day from me as well... Missed out on the posts a bit.

Maybe this is a good stage to express my apologies. I have been a bit hectic last few weeks. Although I have played the turns, I haven't been reporting. Thanks for your patience and I'll get it back in shape with due turn.

I have had to abandon my PhD project. My contract had finished and there were not enough results to make a serious contribution to science. A rough notion for something you have been working on for 4 years. Nonetheless there's been an offer to continue for another year and finish it. As that proposal was being shaped up I was asked to make serious attempts on applying (in industry). I have been successfull with that. Now I have the choice of joining Aker Kvaerner a engineering, procurement and contracting multinational as a process engineer or continuing the suffer which may yield me a title. I have a bit of time to decide, but I don't value being a doctor all that much, neither is Aker Kvaerner. This new job will have me working all around the globe for parts of the year. An exciting challenge. Off course I'll have a laptop accompanying me and will manage some internetaccess. It will be some more months before I'll be send abroad anyway.

Just a note to fill you all in. I don't want to take the attention away from Zoi. welcome again mate.... MSN would be a usefull tool to join discussions.
