I suppose the "normal night out" for me is a couple of beers at the students' pub (~$6).

That's not to say I haven't been know to burn alot more on occasion.

However, most parties I go to nowadays occur on Saturday afternoons with a bunch of girls way under the drinking age. Such is being a parent.

I don't often go to bars. The idea of going out to a smoke-filled room full of loud annoying drunk bastards whom I don't know, just so I can spend three times supermarket prices for drinks with my friends doesn't really appeal. Parties and stuff are no problem though. It's not an issue unless everyone gets really really stupidly drunk. An occurance which hasn't happened for a few years now.

I might buy 1 12 pack per year. Bub. I had my first beer this year 2 weeks ago. I have a few ounces of Whiskey in a bottle that I bough in 1975. I only drink wine with one or two special friends at dinners. The dinners are three to four per year. Coke and Milk is the drink of choice each day

Though my mother got past her alcoholism, both my mother and father were drunkards. My father drank and smoked himself to death, a victim of his own self indulgance. He never had the balls to quit anything, but could sure pontificate, the SOB. He was the reason my mother drank. When he left her she quit drinking. She met a nice guy and the rest of her life was great.

Booze can **** up everything, cigs are almost as bad. Don't start cigs and don't drink too much. Avoid life's traps during your overly sexed years and the rest of your life will be good.

But cigars taste much better. But they don't taste good when you kiss someone who's been smoking them....neither cigarettes.

Does that mean someone who smokes a mix of cigars and cigarettes would be able to smoke more before getting cancer than somone who only smokes one of the two?
