Do you drink any kind of soda Ludd? Somehow it's hard to imagine that you would.

I buy a 24 pack of soda at the grocery store each week. Dr. pepper will be my favorite for a few weeks but then I'll start craving coke and switch back and forth between those two every couple of weeks.

I can't say I have a preference in the taste of canned soda vs bottled but I can say that depending on the water available some fountain soda has seemed somehow even better than the canned and bottled while the vast majority of it seems greatly inferior.

I'd swear that beer in cans really is inferior to bottled though. I may have to do a little lit search to see if I can uncover why there'd be a difference. I'm also curious to see how beer bottled in plastic would taste.

It is, isn't it? I very rarely drink pop, usually only when it's offered to me without an alternative.

Put an end to popups!

dr pepper

3 or 4 cans a day. But I can quit any time I want to, like when I'm on a trip or grocery store prices do not support buying it.

(Kroger just wrapped up a sale, 5 12 packs for $10. YES YES YES! Those were the days.)

Now that there's also Cherry Vanilla which is pretty good, I'd say my drinkage is about 30% cherry vanilla - 70% regular dr pepper.

It is, but it tastes so good, so I don't complain.

What's wrong with calling it pop? Don't both names come from "Soda Pop"?

Soda is just the clear or light colored stuff, and cola (if you must extend it beyond the specific flavor) is the dark stuff.

I have 3 591mL bottles of Coke per day usually (during work), plus 2 355 mL cans per day after work (after work).

I also usually have 2 large Tim Hortons coffees each day at work.

but for nearly all of them the dark stuff is just carmel coloring and has no connection to the flavor. Dr. Pepper and Root Beer certainly don't taste like 'cola' in any sense I can detect.

I call it Soda all the time, and I've never gotten any reaction from anybody in Minnesota. In what part of Minnesota do you never hear it called 'Soda'? (granted, I've only lived in the vicinity of St cloud, St Paul, and Minneapolis.)
