	The White Chamber Enter the AD-FREE zone

Hi, I just wanted to post some information about an independent game created by my housemates and which has finally been completed, I'm pretty excited about it since I've been watching it's production for the past year or so. Although there's an international version coming out... (I'm doing the chinese translation for it, along with the members of a Cantonese forum I belong to.)

In any case, it's a sci-fi horror point and click adventure with lush anime-ish artwork and animation. It's heavily influenced by Silent Hill, Event Horizon and the like. I mean, it's made by the guys who decided to make a life size Pyramid you can wear... and left it in the livingroom to scare the bejesus out of me every time I enter that room in the dark and forgot that there was a pyramid head sitting in the corner.

Unfortunately it's a bit short, and ends at a point that leaves you wanting more. Pretty good for a first game, and considering it was for a university assignment.

The game starts with the heroine waking up with the typical "who am I? Where am I?" scenario, except that she was lying inside a coffin, and as she explores her world it slips into further madness...

Anyway, I think I've just made it sound thoroughly cheesy and unappealing, but ehh... you can get the game here:

Actually, that's a link to the blurb describing the game with a couple of screen-shots. However, there's a download link on that page.

This game is distributed using BitTorrent. If anyone has trouble with that, let me know, and I'll be back with more details explaining BitTorrent, and why it's used.

Whoo... that's enough for now, I think... Didn't realise that I'd write so much... If you managed to get through all of that, and was still interested enough to have a go. Let me know what you think.

Actually, it's mostly because Kuciwalker behaves like a jerk towards newbies- he's already run one off, now he's trying to ostracize a second.

Yeah, it's a good review... but... for some reason I'm not particularly fond of the writing....

Ooh! Just remembered, they had a review in the NY Times.... (Well... a bit of a mention....) I'll see if I can find it...

I'm far more interested in what you think of it though

Playing it now!

It looks pretty impressive so far though. The graphics and music create a great atmosphere. I'm not too much of an anime fan though, so I think the girl you're playing looks a bit odd.

It's got some rather interesting and slightly freaky surprises as well.

But... Bah! I'm no good at this. I'm stuck.
I think I need some sort of dish to get a DNA sample or something to get any further...

Ah yeah it was... It's a good sign if that's not even halfway through the game, I'll have plenty more time to spend on it then.

And no I didn't save, but I've played it again up to about that point now, and saved it this time.

Mercator, did you download via that bintorrent thing or via a http download?

I downloaded the game but when i tried to install it, my computer said it's corrupted or something so I did not go ahead with it.
