Apolyton and the font sizes. Increase Your PM Length

Sorry to bother you again, but:

If you know about a feature View->Text Size in IE and Mozilla (dunno about others, but it's definitely present, maybe named differently), you're aware that if the text has been set in pt (point) not in px (pixel), it is possible to change it's actual size by using the named feature.

So the problem is when I browse Apolyton I lose my default setting of "medium" for IE.

Sometimes it resets it to Largest, sometimes to Smallest, sometimes there's no change, but per average 1/2 times I open Poly in a new IE session I get this strange thing.

I've tested what exactly does this and Im sure it's Poly (been opening the page as the only active task on my PC).

I just don't know if the problem is in my IE settings or in something @Poly's code.

Is there anyone who gets the same prob?

(and if the problem is not in Poly, maybe you know how I can fix it)

I'm guessing you've been doing some Ctrl+scrolling unnoticed. That changes the font size... Except, as you said, the font size doesn't change on Apolyton. So you'll only realise the font size changed when you visit another website.

It definitely can't be Apolyton that's doing it...

This time I felt pressed to take a screenie:

(what I did was opened Poly in "new window", without doing any other actions inbetween a click on thread link and then left-clicking on a link in post and choosing "open in new window")

Attachment: fontsize3.gif
This has been downloaded 68 time(s).

I've never used that feature before, I knew it works in Mozilla but didn't knew it does in IE, only just tried it out!

Ah, exactly! That's why I said unnoticed.

But how exactly is that screenshot supposed to help? Sure, that's what the bigger font looks like... Which of the two windows had that bigger font? The first Apolyton one you opened, the second one or both? What was the font size setting before you opened any Apolyton windows?

Oh, and when you say you didn't do any other actions, does that mean no actions at all, or say, did you, um, scroll in between.

Apolyton simply can't mess with those settings, so it's a problem on your end. That could be a bug, some strange settings or an accident...

If Apolyton could do this, you can bet all those annoying pop-ups would be using it by now to attract even more attention.

What's why I also thought it's on Poly's side.

I never hold "Ctrl" for no reason, I did scroll, yes, though.

Just because I don't think you're right doesn't mean your questions aren't interesting and appreciated. Maybe others can be more helpful.

And actually, sometimes my Ctrl "sticks", so it's on without me realising it. Then again, if that only happens with Apolyton...

I only have this stick problem with Shift sometimes, never with Ctrl - it rather tends to fall off it's place.

Probably Im using Poly too much..

Actually It is possible for the settings to change randomly from time to time based on some obscure combination of keystroke commands- I've suffered the same enlargement problems for no perceptible reason while visiting some sites... It seems after I click a link, sometimes the next page will just blow up.

It's very odd.

Actually it's not random. Some ad and hack scripts can do it and they actually do.

I have an antispyware tool which says it can detect such cases, but it actually does not..

I don't have that kind of problem, but sometimes my keyboard settingg seem to switch from qwerty to qwertz system which is fairly annoying. I presume obscure combinations of keystroke commands are responsible as well.
