It all started because of one poster in particular, Monk, would misspell it on purpose. We used to go back and forth (Thebes/Munk, Thibben/Mung). In addition, several people would misspell it 'Theban', quite by accident. But it got surreal when brand new posters did the same thing. Finally after about the 4th or 5th n00b called me 'Theban' I made a thread about it (in my righteous fury), which of course sealed my fate and ensured everyone misspelled it on a regular basis.

Personally I think MarkG should find a way to have my name randomly misspelled when displayed. I'd get PLUS for that.

I dont think it was tuber that told me but i know it was him that confirmed it and told me the background behind it

I suggest a much more plausible alternative theory: MarkG become Administrator later, and was then planted in our memories so that we'd have false memories of him being from the begining of the merged site.
