Internet and Computers used to be simpler, now there are so many different apps, codes and tricks that I can't keep up; but in my line of work, I HAVE to keep up - but my brain is overloading!! Why can't we have some sort of built-in video help box in every app that actually shows you how to do every damn little thing that you can do in that app? Ok I know, that would be a big accomplishment, but I am starting to think it is necessary.
This is what I know (in ability to use) (10 highest)
Windows: 9/10
OSX: 7/10
Photoshop: 9/10
Dreamweaver: 7/10
Flash: 4/10
Freehand: 8/10
Illustrator: 7/10
PageMaker: 5/10
MS SQL Manager: 1/10 (I hate this one, complicated and annoying).
ASP: 4/10
PHP: 4/10
Perl: 5/10
HTML/CSS/DHTML: 10/10
MS Word: 6/10
MS Access 0/10 (Never touched it)
I'm only talking about apps that are generally complicated (have a steep learning curve).
I want my Flash, ASP and PHP higher, but the problem is that if I work hard on those, my abilities in other apps begin to drop.
Today, I am having to learn an entirely new program, its adding on to my list, which I don't want!!
How is everyone else handling this?

I tried learning Maya 6 once, it came with some quicktime videos of really basic commands (animating a cube), but thats like 0.0001% of what it can do, and you just think, how much time of my life have i already wasted trying to learn this? I could be playing games.
