even if they play it now, the save will not arrive to my team until Sunday. And at that time I'll be the only one member (Krill is going to a vacation) and I'll be free from work for a whole month, so not sure how often I'll stop by here or check my email

so, to make it clear

I don't have plans to go anywhere yet. If I'll be unavailable to play I'll inform the community.

I wanted only to say that August is usually the month where everyone has a break from his job, colleauges, boss, etc. The people go with their families or friends (or both ) somewhere else and don't have the time to play civ.

So, we should expect a slower motion not only for this game but also for the games played by email.

Back to me - I'll check my email but probabably only once or twice a day and I will not stick whole day at Apolyton.

No, of course not. One of the mods on this game ought to have played the save by now, and ET should have posted at least a few basic orders for the mto follow (like WF numbers, and some unit moves). If the mods follow these basic orders that ET has posted, we should be able to get the save back on track with minimal disruption to Babylon.

OK, those of us - maybe only me? - who follow this campaign vicariously, are waiting for more updates! You don't need to restart the slandering, but some newsy kind of chat would be welcome.

Anybody willing to take a non-participant as team member? At least I can stay current that way!

ahhh Golden Bear, due to the heat some have taken and given on these threads, and the fact some teams are currently considering which coloured ink to use for their last will and testaments etc, well basically they will no longer come out to play on the public threads

the way I see it is that if people do not agree with their version then they take their bat and ball, or civ, and go home

you will note that several of the Horde are still posting here...

we hope to bring on going entertainment for the coming duration

I also note that several others are still willing to get out here and post

and hopefully others with come back out of their cubby holes and have some fun

yes indeed it can be said that these threads got a tad heated and being the Khan of the Mongols, I own responsibility for that, as we the baddest Horse riders this side of the North Pole... and yeah, I even off Santas gift list again this year

so enjoy, I am sure there will be a few more good and (happy) worthwhile posts here as soon as the game picks up a bit of speed. and hopefully we can do that before some of the teams leave

as to joining a team, I must apologise, as the Horde is unable to take on new memebers at this time, we already have a full house of overly active participants, and were asked some time back to take no more. as some of the teams may be moving on, shall we say, very soon and all that, this situation may change. other than that, i would reccomend that you contact the team leaders of any of the teams you are interested in joining, and join their civ group.

So, you don't like the neutral observation anymore

I think you know the current situation and you could decide which team do you want to join.

A brief summary:
- Euphorica are currently suffering and most of us are thinking they will be soon destroyed
- the Horde have been in a war since 2500 BC
- Babylon were one of the biggest civs but Ankh-Morpork (we) invaded them recently and captured some of their cities.
- Desolation Row were attacked by three opponents but lost only town. Currently they posses one of the strongest militaries
- Lost Boys were the only civ which was not engaged in a war. But they did ~ 5 turns ago. They are one of biggest civs as well
- Ankh-Morpork was invaded in the very early ages of the game by the Horde. Currently we are the invaders.
