I thought the worker should road first since that tile won't be mined until after our culture expands and then we'll already have a tile with 2 food, 2 shields and one commerce available for use from the game tile. To give us more flexability we should road that tile first and use the extra commerce when we can during our early growth when the extra shield afforded by the game isn't needed.

Just wondering, but are we following one of the plans written up by notyoueither, and myself (I've excluded ET due to the fact that we have built a worker, and so his plan would need altering), or are we just going to listen to the suggestions of the crowd?

Because if we follow the written plans, we have to follow them to the letter. And that includes the worker movement and the worker improvements.

the problem is there are some plan's and none ist yet voted from the team .

That's why i asked, how to move worker and what would be his next action.

it would be nice if some1 set the plans up vor vote, that would make the next 20 turns easy and fast.

Actually, ET should just pick and choose, as the DM. Taking the will of the people into account, of course.

I disagree, GK. At this point we are either going to follow a course that will lead to best results down the road, or forget about winning this game.

The course is clear. w-3enk-granery-settler, and the workers do what best aids that plan.

CGN also went the Worker first route. Unknown as to what PAL did, will know next turn.

CDZ and CBR have either gone with a Mil Unit first or other build (??Granary??) first, as they are at size 2.

BAT (India), with a lower Food Surplus, is still at size 1. So they can't have built a Worker as their first build and will either do a Granary or Mil Unit.

All teams have good and experienced players. I'll suppose they have the same kind of info we have.

The same kind, yes, but not the same info. It could be that, due to our choices, we are "better informed" than the others.

For example, if 5 out of 6 civs build a mine, and we irrigate, then we can derive from the stats that they all mined, but any other civ can see that one other civ irrigated - they don't know which one.

Put an end to popups!

right Aro, but we have more people analyzing and comparing/questioning the findings and we do it every turn.

I will also share with the team on my analysis which is more or less covered in the above posts. I should post earlier

CDZ - Population 2, Iroquois, built Warrior.
BAT - Population 1, Indian, built Warrior, 4th in Population. likely to mine their Cow tile.
CGN - Population 1, Celts, built Worker
CBR - Population 2, Dutch, built Warrior. They start on a River tile not along the Coast.
Poly - that's us, Population 1, Sumeria, built Worker.
PAL - Population 1 now. We will only know next turn what they built.

GNP 4m = 4th.
The order. >4, >4, >4, 4, 4, 4. We are 4th and last, because we irrigate before roading and we built a worker.

Mfg Goods 2 = 2nd
The order. 3, 2, 2, 2, 2, 2. CDZ and CBR are both Pop 2, so they will work on Cow + another tile. But since only one team is on Mfg = 3, one of them (CDZ and CBR) is likely to be working on a shielded grassland which carries +1 shield and the other is likely to be working on a normal grassland/coastal tile/lake/flood plain etc which carries no additional shield.

Productivity, 11 = 3rd.
The order. >11, >11, 11, 10 or 11, 10 or 11, 9. BAT's (last place) productivity has not increased, it's likely they mine their cow tile instead of irrigating. Mining takes 6 turns, irrigating takes 4, so they will only complete mining next turn.

To not take advantage of E_T's spreadsheets would be folly.

I agree with nye here. Get a plan that is balanced somehwta in terms of getting our empire up and running with putting to much risk on getting taken out of the game by not building an adequate military. Early on, teams can take chances either way. I would say i would be in favor of a 33% lean towards military(not including exploring Enkidu's) and the rest towards the economy.
