If he were any good he'd be in already. Lee and Mcgrath have both been disappointing, even before they slipped on the soap, Jones and Flintoff have moved the ball all over.

18 no-balls in the first session, England 129-1. Things can collapse very quickly, of course, but if Vaughan and Tresco stay in England should be looking at well over 400. They should have got 500 in the 1st innings at Old Trafford but faltered, letting victory slip away. (Well, that and the dropped KP catches)

Well done to England for scoring so many on a pitch with a sodden outfield - I was amazed that so many boundaries were scored.
And well done to Australia for managing to bowl 60 overs despite all the rain.
Once upon a time (well, last home Ashes series ), the rain was our secret weapon that meant we could still have a chance of drawing games that were beyond us, but now it is working against us.
I've got a feeling that the batsmen, maybe from both sides, are going to be playing at balls they should probably be leaving because they know that they have to build a total and the threat of the rain is there.

Excellent century by Flintoff and the tail was wagging nicely for once, everyone chipped in

We have much better bowlers quite frankly, it all depends on Australias batsmen to pull them out of it again.
