hmm, according to him, the nudity was always there (by the sims programmer), but only blurred.

but this is different than GTA which shows simulated sex (from what I understand). I haven't seen it, though I want to see it.

nudity is not sex. Though I can't look at a naked woman without thinking of sex (unless she's really ugly)

The first thing I did after installing Sims2 was to remove the blur. I never noticed any genitalia.

yeah the nudity patch I had, didn't have nipples or penises. It had breasts though. And I admit, those turned me on a little bit. I hope it's not wrong to be turned on by your Sim daughter. .

Someone knew that he was such a crazy anti-video game zealot, so showed him this nudity mod, and told him that it was put there in the game to begin with. Wound him up like a top and let him go. Ruin his credability and make the effort to censor video games look foolish.

do most kids have 53 bucks to spend on a game? and do parents not have interest in what their kids are playing?

I'm wondering if most kids of the age of influence even have the money to buy the system, let alone any new game that comes along.

If parents wish to complain that their kids may be damaged somehow by videogames or television, the first argument against that - in my mind and in many - is that it's the job of the parents to censor their children's games/TV/movies/etc. themselves; as long as the games/tv/movies/etc. aren't being marketed specifically to the children, there's no argument for censoring them from the children whose parents agree with them watching it/playing it/etc., or with adults doing so.

Nobody here seems to upset about it, but it weirds me out to find so many people harping on nudity in games.

For crying out loud, people, the name of the latest game in the news (GTA) is itself a crime! I have a large number of games that are extremely violent in nature, but they are worried about nudity?

Show someone getting their head blown off and you get NC-17 rating. Show a penis and it is becomes XXX.

I would hope that all children would grow up to experience a great deal of wonderful sex. I would also hope that they never have to experience (or commit) an act of violence.

But this doesn't seem to be what everybody else is concerned about. People are weird...
