The Japanese have been rampaging through China, causing devastation everywhere they go. The Chinese are determined but need allies. The Commonwealth have agreed to help China out in her time of need. Will the Americans also join? Depends on the Japanese . . . .

The Japanese haven't started any major offensive against us yet but I get the feeling they are just waiting. They have an army stationed in one of the captured Chinese cities. I've started bombing it but if they have a barracks it won't be much use. I'm preparing for an offensive of my own but it will be a few turns before I'm ready.
What are the commonwealth up to?

We are fighting a series of intense battles along the Malayan Peninsula. At this time Bhuket has changed hands each turn Jappa takes it, then I take it back when I get the turn, just to have them retake it between turns...

I am reinforcing Singapore massively, and hiding my fleet to the west of Singapore

Hong kong fell in the opening moves

I was right; the Japanese were just waiting. I am gathering an army of mostly light tanks in Nanning in order to attack Canton. But this turn the Japanese landed a lot of infantry near Canton. It's going to be a hard, hard fight. I've been bombing Japanese rail so they can't get reinforcements down from the north so quickly. Alas, they are coming by ship. I'd better build a navy.

Good luck with Bhuket. I think it's going to take us a long time to wear the bastards down and then go on the offensive. Well, for me anyway. You seem to have a knack for building up offensives.

Bhuket taken again

I brought my two Battleships up the western coast of the Malayan pen, and bombarded them, sadly the Jappa air force had damaged them already, so they are now retiringf to Singapore for much needed repairs

I sustained massive losses last turn against Jappa fighters in the air over Bhuket, thus why I brought the BB's up. So I have 10 cities in production of "fighter bombers" at the moment. I would have prefered them be in light tanks, but the air war is important.

I have secured advanced flight, that is on its way to you

on the mainland I have completed a series of airports, allowing new Anzac Inf to be air shipped straight into Singapore.

Also the rail line into Darwin is well underway. Darwin has become my major port for moving heavy units: flak, artillary, and light tanks.

Out on the islands many of the infantry units have boarded destroyers and are currently sailing for Singapore.

The Jappa are running through the islands, and we hope to be able to meet them head on in the coming 5 - 9 turns.

The Japanese have landed more troops near Canton. A few headed in your direction but most are headed toward Hankow. That city is lightly defended because many of my troops are gathering in Nanning and I have another army up north. Hopefully they will recall their troops once I move toward Canton. But you never know.
Thanks for advanced flight. I'm now researching armour tactics (or whatever it's called). It will be done in 4 turns.

Although I lost a number of tanks, I took Canton. Two Japanese bombers and a fighter were destroyed when my troops moved in and we captured a piece of artillery. As I hoped, Japanese troops turned back from Hankow. The loss of Canton really seems to have thrown them into a tizzy.
Say, you haven't seen a Chinese bomber anywhere, have you?

I botched an operation to capture a lone Japanese artillery piece and lost two units.
On the other hand, I captured Hong Kong. I will hold it for you until you can get troops up to secure it.
Japanese troops are starting to stream down from the north and they still have a number of units in my territory. They have gotten a wicked lot of bombers from somewhere and are blowing up rail and road faster than I can put it down.

I mopped up a few units and I'm waiting to build some better units before moving north.

Forgot. Oops.

Kiungchow taken by my brave lads. Next stop - Nanking, the southern capital. Lost my first fighter-bomber on its maiden flight. So sad.

A Dutch submarine sank a Japanese transport outside Hong Kong. Sadly, the sub was destroyed by a battleship escorting the transport. Let's have a moment of silence for those brave sailors who probably saved the lives of many Chinese soldiers.

Operation Hanoi is underway
13 artillary pieces are bombatding the town, and several fighter bomber sqds are working around the clock

The fleet is now out side Saigon, which is in our control, and will take on a Anzac Infantry Unit for each of the 9 destroyers in the fleet.

The Singapore port are working hard on the first fleet aircraft carrier, this will be a welcome addition to the fleet. Along with two recently arrived transports, each carrying 4 tank regiments. the fleet should have a good hitting capacity for an attack on Formosa soon.

Meanwhile the Destroyer Maxwell sustained heavy damage while patrolling waters north of Rabaul. Along with the recent of our submarine SS Taggart, I have decided to upgrade the garrisons throughout this region.

Nanking has been recaptured from the Japanese. Once you take Hanoi I can free up troops from the south for the push into the north.
The Japanese are sending a few units into my territory but I think they are running out of steam. I haven't been bombed in a while.

Excellent news

Operation Hanoi continues.
Artillary has caused massive damage to the Jappa, and my few tanks have rushed ahead of the infantry to press home the attack. Hanoi could fall next turn

I have moved a series of tanks towards PNG, in case Jappa is heading into the Coral Sea.

Once Hanoi falls, I will rest my lads, for some healing and regrouping, then would be interested in bringing some up north

I noticed your large fleet near Hanoi.
I've moved most of my troops to prepare for the northern offensive. The Japanese keep drawing off my resources by sending one or two units into my territory. I can't ignore them so I have to bomb them and then send a unit or two to take care of them. They sometimes crawl into my fortresses and it's hard to take them out. Buggers.
Otherwise, things are going well.
I sadly have no ships to patrol the seas. The few ships I could produce in this short game wouldn't stand a chance against the Japanese fleet anyway.
