The REAL reason they banned it is that they don't want their public getting all upiddy about terrorism when there are real threats to worry about like the Death Legionaries of Tiawan.

C&C Generals is not entirely flattering with its portrayal of the Chinese military though, making use of such things as the Propaganda Tower and hordes of cheap infantry. It's essentially a caricature of Korean War era strategy with bigger explosions.

It's not as if Chinese gamers buy legit anyway, though.

I don't know about that, they do get more of the regular infantry, but each one is slightly better sans specials then the other two. and their real manpower advantage comes with the troop crawler and a good mechanized army.

and propaganda towers heal all allied/captured/friendly units as well regardless of the side they are from.
