How do you remove the purple edge seen in the picture above?

I have a picture with the purple layer at the bottom (as the invisible color) and the actual graphics as the top layer. I can't seem to make the edges "hard" enough to avoid this
How can this be removed?

I would try the magic wand or clone stamp tool. Of course, with such a small image you could just paint it over, pixel by pixel

If you didn't do that already, try to play around with the tolerance for the magic wand. It can make a big difference.

... or it didn't work last time I tried, but this time I pressed the delete button several times before I saved the image and this time it worked
