Name that tune pt. 2 (Calling all Boris's) Enter the AD-FREE zone

This worked out well last time with Dvorak's New World Symphony. As usual, I can only guess at the timing, and the only note that I can recognize unassisted is the 'D' below the bass staff (surprisingly, this is rarely useful).

A dunn is two dun's, a dun is two da's, and a da is two di's. Or something like that.

I have SHORT clip of a very known track, it's bad quality since I made it myself, and I really need to know the artist and the name of this track. I suspect this has been done and done over agian this song but let's hear at least one artist and name of the track, I can track down the rest.

The whole thing was with a full orchestra, but IIRC that segment was with only the violins. I wasn't able to remember much more because they all started diverging after that.

I can't decipher it. The note pattern doesn't work out into time signature that really works. And the second line seems weird...very chromatic. Are you sure those are all half steps?

What was the overall atmosphere of the music? Upbeat and happy, sad, dark, etc.?

Sad, dark.

Not sure on the half-steps -- they sounded half-steppy, I guess, but now that I think on it there was a key change from minor to major and back to minor, though none of the notes was a low 'D' and so I couldn't tell you what key it was in.
